IRS looking to hire thousands of armed tax agents to enforce health care laws

Top IRS officials have been working with Democrats on Capitol Hill to determine how the agency will enforce President Obama’s new health care law. Republican lawmakers estimate the legislation will require the hiring of many thousands of new tax enforcement agents.

While it’s still not known exactly how many will be hired, here’s what’s clear: Under the new law, the IRS is required to fine taxpayers thousands of dollars if they do not purchase health insurance. In order for the government to enforce compliance, tax authorities will need information, for the first time, about people’s health care. Collecting that data will require more IRS personnel.

Consider what has happened in Massachusetts, which passed a similar health care bill in 2006. To enforce the individual mandate, the state’s Department of Revenue asks filers what kind of insurance they have, as well as details like whether their “sincerely held religious beliefs” are moving them to petition for an exemption from the requirement.

We will have to keep an eye on the usual internet gun resources to see what the weapon of choice for these poor bastards is going to be, and adjust accordingly.

Yeah, it's been absolutely insane to watch this unfold before our very eyes. A real nightmare in the daytime.

THX-1138 was pretty decent too, as far as flicks in the “dystopian future” genre (many border on the heavy cheese-factor, i.e. “Logan's Run”).

No doubt.

Remember flag@whitehouse.gov email to report misinformation being disseminated about the Obama’s agenda?

The founding fathers DETESTED standing armies that could be used against the people!

That’s why they provided for a Navy to guard the shores, but relied on the militia, which were the people themselves, to defend against invasion.

When Obama organizes his "civilian security force" to enforce taxation without representation we will be so totally screwed...any uprising will be crushed like a common cockroach...

States, counties, jurisdictions need to have their own Federal agent gun zoning law where as ? any Federal Government agent would have to get a special gun permit to legally to be armed in their county, or even town... and if a Federal agent does not have a special gun permit for that town, they would be arrested for violating that state, county, jurisdiction, or town’s gun law...

“The good news is that a gun shot is a preexisting condition , so you will be able to buy the appropriate policy at the hospital”

I’m sure they will be trained to kill so there will be no need for treatment.

It isn’t the article that spells out what the Zero meant, it’s in the campaign. It is that “civilian force (ACORN?) that is as well equipped and funded as our military”...what do we equip our military with?

Ignore the fact that ACORN says they are disbanding due to bankruptcy, it’s just the name ACORN that they are retiring.....but ‘an acorn by another name is still an acorn etc’....Fox said today “a memo from Obama to Congress required the buzzheads get taxpayer funding “ Think about that memo, it’s just in time for the campaigns of these corrupt politicians, and new voter fraud.

60 percent of the 32 million who will now get insured will get subsidies from the Government to pay the premiums.

You bet the IRS will enforce this monstrosity.

That’s the ONLY way it will EVER work. They have to take the money from you to give out to your brother who “Can’t afford” his premiums.

‘an acorn by another name is still an acorn etc’.

Yeah I wouldn't get excited at all about the demise of ACORN...it will just pop up with another name with the same agenda...
