I hope someone near him shares the Gospel with Dennis before he passes. God bless his soul.

"could actually threaten his ability to survive the current health crisis."

Marriage has a way of doing that.

Ummmm. Not so be cruel or sarcastic here because I liked Hoppers movie performances, but if he's terminally ill then he already has no chance of surviving the current health crisis. Where do these idiot lawyers come from?

I think a terminally ill person goes day by day. For instance, when my mom was dying, we were happy to have her “get through” the night, and that was the “current” crisis.

We knew it was the end, but each little crisis overcome was a victory.

I had an older relative whose last wish was just to sit up in bed. We cheered for them when it was accomplished.

On the other hand, what’s the point of getting a divorce?

Why is either party going through with a divorce if one of them is going to be dead very soon anyway?

"Where do these idiot lawyers come from? "

They definitely chose the words poorly. They should have said something along the lines of, "this will hasten his demise". If he's terminally ill, his "demise" is unavoidable - hence the "terminal" part.

Probably the prenup. It's likely that her death payout is greater if she's married to him when he actually dies. Just a guess.

It just seems a bit ‘fishy’ that Mr. Hopper was too ill to make his court appearance but the doctor cleared him for an outing to get his star on the walk of fame.

Just saying...

I do not think that some type of ceremony where you get a award and people say nice thing about you could honestly be compared to litigation. A court appearance, or especially a deposition, is unavoidably stressful, and it typically requires that the party ease off of medications for a few days prior to the appearance.

I think walking out onto a sidewalk, have someone read a few sentences about you, waving to a small crowd, and posing for a couple of photos would be a lot less stressful than being questioned for a few hours by a belligerent lawyer.
