Cap and Trade: A License Required for your Home(now we know where Obama's Green Jobs will be doing)

Thinking about selling your house - A look at H.R. 2454 (Cap and trade bill) This is unbelievable!

Only the beginning from this administration! Home owners take note & tell your friends and relatives who are home owners!

Beginning 1 year after enactment of the Cap and Trade Act, you won't be able to sell your home unless you retrofit it to comply with the energy and water efficiency standards of this Act. H.R. 2454, the "Cap & Trade" bill passed by the House of Representatives, if also passed by the Senate, will be the largest tax increase any of us has ever experienced.

The Congressional Budget Office (supposedly non-partisan) estimates that in just a few years the average cost to every family of four will be $6,800 per year. No one is excluded. However, once the lower classes feel the pinch in their wallets, you can be sure these voters get a tax refund (even if they pay no taxes at all) to offset this new cost. Thus, you Mr. and Mrs. Middle Class America will have to pay even more since additional tax dollars will be needed to bail out everyone else.

But wait. This awful bill (that no one in Congress has actually read) has many more surprises in it. Probably the worst one is this: A year from now you won't be able to sell your house. Yes, you read that right.

We now know where all the promised green jobs will be doing: fixing up your house to comply with mandated EPA standards, using your money.

This will promise millions of new union jobs that will be compliant to liberals.

This legislation has ALREADY passed the house and is sitting in the Senate.

I knew this last year. Called my Congresman (weasel Sestak) and read his staff the riot act during the voting in the House. Fat little good it did. No matter, he is DONE in May, and this bill is going NOWHERE. Applying Federal mandates to local building codes? Every year? More governemnt intrusion. The courts will be busier than ever if this gets passed, which it will not.

The Constituion yet lives.

I’m not sure this is true. Check the following.

Of course the Senate has yet to pass the bill and the EPA can overstep their authority, but I’m not sure the American people would stand for such a grab for power.

This is a way to milk a lot of the wealth of the old folks and middle classes, by requiring them to retrofit their homes when they sell them, with energy efficient appliances, new windows, High SEER HVAC systems, water heaters, low flow toilets and faucet heads, lead paint abatement, approved insulation, asbestos abatement, radon abatement, mold remediation, inground oil tank removal and soil removal, septic upgrades
yada yada yada. And govt inspectors to check all of it and issue “permits” and “licenses”

I’ve been a Realtor, you cannot imagine all the inspections and tests that could now become govt mandates...

Just wait for it. If you have an old house (pre 78 or worse pre 1950, bend over.

This will take your house equity (if you have any) and make “jobs” for all those (union) contractors

Thus, you Mr. and Mrs. Middle Class America will have to pay even more

And they WILL. They are the only people who can make these evils possible. Enablers, subsidizers of tyranny. Apparently no more capable of quitting, than sheep are capable of stopping the growth of fleece.

No, they just want to take the home equity, if you have lived there a long time. Your parents might just have been imagined they would sell the paid off house and use the money to retire and pay for care.

The Constituion yet lives.
____________________________________________________________

I don’t think it does. I can’t think of anything significant that the court has said the Federal government can’t do. We are not a nation with a limited Federal government anymore in practice. We are a nation with an unlimited central government . . . same as all the other empires, kingships, tyrannies and failed states before us. The words are still there in the Constitution but they’ve interpreted them out of existence.

We have allowed an agent of one entity of a contract,
the CREATED entity at that,
to have the sole “interpretation” power over that contract.

Insanity.

The only other recourse for the sovereign states is secession, and the left has deemed that issue “settled” by force of arms in the 1861-5.

I’ll fill mine with cadmium and mercury and then burn it. They can take it then, and pay to clean it up. I’ll be judgement proof by then anyway.

“The courts will be busier than ever if this gets passed, which it will not.”

Everything the fascists at the EPA do is subject to the Data Quality Act (DQA). Under DQA, the EPA, and other fascist bureaucracies, must prove that every line of every regulation is based on solid scientific research. Any citizen may challenge any rule written by EPA and demand the science behind the rule. In other words, millions of challenges may be filed against the EPA.

Further, courts must base their decisions on these matters using scientific and tested theories.

George Bush insisted on the DQA, laying landmines across the federal bureaucratic landscape to blow up every bureaucrat and agency.

Learn it and use it.
