Americans Support Arizona Immigration Bill
Intelligence Quarterly ^

Posted on 04/29/2010 5:44:44 AM PDT by Princeverdi

Many adults in the United States would like several regulations included in the Arizona immigration bill to be implemented in their own state, according to a poll by Angus Reid Public Opinion. 76 per cent of respondents support making it a crime to transport someone who is an illegal immigrant.

In addition, 71 per cent of respondents are in favour of both requiring state and local police to determine the status of a person if there is “reasonable suspicion” that they are illegal immigrants and arresting people who are unable to provide documentation to prove they are in the U.S. legally. Also, 53 per cent of respondents would make it a crime to hire day labourers off the street.

In March 2006, the Pew Hispanic Center calculated the number of undocumented immigrants in the U.S. at somewhere between 11.5 million to 12 million.

...the only way to get rid of them would be at gunpoint...and they will resist at gunpoint.

Rasmussen has even Democrats split 50/50 on it. The important thing I am seeing is that huge number of voters the GOP could gain (IF they handle this right), as opposed to the small number of Hispanic votes they could lose.

I’ve heard the number is most likely closer to 30M, but there’s no way to be sure.

I heard on the Bill Bennett show this morning that in an AP article, some illegal was threatening to boycott Arizona because of this law!

Talk about a winner!

Hopefully they all show up in Arizona to protest then we could do a forced march back to Mexico.

They don't count anchor babies as illegals. If you count the children of illegals it probably is closer to 30 million.

It took them losing two elections but finally this time Republicans are united on the side of “Americans”, and 71% agree regardless of the sleazy race-baiting by democrats, MSM, a few Washington establishment Republicans and MSNBC.

Our love Michelle Malkin was on Hannity and asked McCain and Graham (publically) why it took over three years to finally ‘get it’.

Michelle Malkin was brilliant last night on Hannity. She is one smart cookie and she did not skip a beat. She was on Fire!

She is always like that. She used to sub for O Reilly fridays summer of 2008 and was 100X better than him. But Geralda called her a racist on the show and threatened to spit in her face and O Reilly refused to defend her, so she quit. This one reason I hate O Reilly even if he did yell at Barney Frank, he is huge phony.

We ought to insist that our lawmakers pass the same immigration laws that Mexico has...much tougher than the one just passed in AZ. That should be “fair” enough for our Panderer-In-Chief.

We need to get the word out to every illegal alien that NYC and Mayor Bloomberg loves them and wants them there. They should leave the 49 states that only approve of documented citizens and go where they are loved and wanted.

Give me 2 minutes with Jerry Rivers, and I promise he will never spit in any woman’s face again.

O’Reilly is a POS.

I missed the show - what was McCain's response? TIA
