Their enrollment will go up.

As long as they don’t capitulate.

I’ll have to defer to you in AZ, but I know that you could easily get the signatures and likely in one day!

“Do you think the teachers will leave too?”

Ha! Getting rid of tenured teachers is nearly impossible. They’ll whine, but do nothing.

I think we would need legal advice before we do anything like that. I really don’t think they can stop the law. If they get some judge to do that, all we would have to do is call a special election. By that time the people of Arizona will be so mad that it will pass with 85% of the vote.

Our universities have mastered the science of cramming one years’ worth of education into four.

Actually it is five years these days - few finish in four.

The families of a number of out-of-state students (to date all of them honors students)

Isn't it funny how it is always the brightest (to date all of them honors students)

as if......

Guess they came from not too bright of families!

I should think it would be against the law for a State University to give foreigners in-state tution and grants whlie denying the same to out of State Americans. It rasis; discriminates based on Nation of Origin.

We should not get too excited. This is a lie the liberal University staff made up. What other out of state school are they going to attend? Maybe California will give them all a place? I don’t know. California has it’s “fair share” of illegals as it is.

I count a dozen or so U of Arizona honors students. Must be waiting for a bus to take them to Cal Tech. Or is it MIT? What a shame.

I don’t think there’s time to get the signature and get it on the November ballot. What happens with signatures is that the other side gets to challenge the signatures..so if you need 77,000, you have to get almost double that to be sure.

hmmm...ok so let’s say we/they get the signatures in AFTER july...it sounds like it will then be put on the ballot for 2012? is that right? if so, how is that possible? how is it possible for a law the governor signed to be halted for 2 years? i’m truly just trying to understand this because it sounds preposterous.
