So Johnny or Melissa are going to pack up and self-deport? And run off to another state’s university?

Ok, but just a word of warning to Johnny or Melissa’s parents...credits from University X...don’t always shift to University Y. So when you bring up their past program...two full years of study...and the new counselor smiles to say that most credits will shift but Johnny will have to take five classes that he probably already took in some fashion...ask yourself how much time and money this represents. $5k? Are you willing to throw away another entire quarter and $5k on tuition, plus $4k on food, booze and board expenses?

Total number of liberal U of A students that will actually carry out this threat? I lived in Tucson for four years in the late 80’s....so I know this mentality. I’m guess and say about forty folks will actually carry out their threat, and ten will be back within twelve months.

You go to a college to learn something. The minute you attach anything beyond that....you are turning your goals into a joke. You basically are allowing some dimwit professor at the college or protest group at the college to run your life and probably screw up your educational chances.

Our universities have mastered the science of cramming one years’ worth of education into four.

Of course, I agree with all you say. I’m just wondering how President Shelton could make such a big deal about a handful of students leaving in a huff?
