Louisiana Spill: Big Oil's Chernobyl?
Investors.com ^ | April 30, 2010 | INVESTORS BUSINESS DAILY Staff

Energy: The administration has banned new offshore drilling until the Gulf oil spill is investigated. Was its heart in it anyway? It seems environmental concerns apply only to certain forms of energy.

No one pays much attention to the aquatic "dead zones" that have appeared off our shores at the mouths of our rivers due to agricultural runoff created by mandates for corn-based ethanol. Ethanol is green energy, good energy — never mind that such biofuels drive up food prices, increase hunger around the world and damage the environment in their own way.

The explosion that blew apart an oil rig off Louisiana's coast is far more dramatic and makes for better television. The resulting oil spill is a legitimate concern, as it threatens marine life and local economies. Our concern is that it will do more damage as a bludgeon that forever ends hopes of expanding domestic oil production.

President Obama on Friday announced the suspension of all plans for new offshore oil drilling until authorities learn what caused the explosion of the rig Deepwater Horizon in the Gulf of Mexico. Recently he had declared to great fanfare that certain offshore areas would be open to drilling.

“When was the last oil rig explosion and where??”

As near as I can tell, it was the Glomar Arctic IV that exploded in July of 1998 while docked for maintenance in the harbor of Dundee Scotland. There were two deaths.

Yes, Big Oil’s Chernobyl. Maybe it would pave the way for the increase in popularity of synthetic fuels.

It could be a plot for Obama to nationalize the U.S. oil industry for the criminal globalist elite's mega oil corporations, so that they can earn more fat bottom line profits.

As a Jewess in the US, I believe the gulf oil platform was sunk by a North Korean Stealth Torpedo, the 2nd test of the same type that they used to take out the South Korean Navy ship last month.

Excellant thorough analysis! You need to post this on several of these type threads.

This was a state of the art rig....But fear not!

Obozo says he will have a fed inquiry...BUT BP IS NOT STUPID AND THEY WILL HAVE THEIR OWN INQUIRY..probably on it right now!

Good point...though i also think it was possibly Iran, via Chavez.

could also be A Soros connection...he is always placing bets against the US financially.

In any case, fear not....BP will find out.

My mistake. I meant to say barrels as well. I know it’s a big deal, but Obama and the left are already starting to use this to cripple the oil industry. When we freak out, it only encourages them further. He will get us to $7 a gallon gas one way or another.

Thanks for the compliment .. but I owe it all to the fine- tuned minds that I listen to: Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Hugh Hewitt, Heritage, and my own Mark Larson (San Diego).

And .. I have saved the analysis in a document so I can post it everytime I think it may need to be said.

While I have no “evidence” of the Admin’s involvement, I always remember what the 911 Commission said about a, “... total lack of imagination.” And .. I think that requires us to think outside the box .. and be willing to believe there are people in the world who are EVIL .. and surely this President has gathered around him a lot of those who are suspect.

Have you heard “rumors” of North Korea’s torpedoing Deepwater Horizon oil platform owned by World’s largest offshore drilling contractor Transocean that was built and financed by South Korea’s Hyundai Heavy Industries Co. Ltd.?

It was posted on the Florida Freeper Section!

Any connection?

Excuse me .. Halliburton is so successful at what they do, they don’t have any NEED to blow up the jobs they’ve built.

And .. it ISN’T Halliburton who HATES Obama .. it’s OBAMA who hates HALLIBURTON.

And .. with Halliburton you always have the name VP Dick Cheney linked .. and Obama really HATES him.

And .. by the way .. FACTS are not a conspiracy. While FACTS may be a coincidence .. many times they can and do lead to a presumption of some sort of colusion.

Your message is quite clear .. Halliburton = BAD; Obama = GOOD.

Thanks!

But realistically, I’m not sure what it would take to discover the true cause of the explosion.

Knowing that .. finding the cause could be difficult and that only plays in Obama’s favor.

I don’t know .. but there’s just something not right about this whole thing.

People have been fed the line that absolute security is possible. The world remains a chancey place, where reasonable risk must be taken. Stay in the cave, you starve.

Our education system leaves people totally unable to evaluate relative risk - quite deliberately. It is much easier to push a Socialist agenda to people who can be made to to believe that every minor risk in life is a grand horror requiring government intervention.

Did North Korea Sabotage Gulf Oil Rig, and Did Obama Cover It Up?
Conservative Examiner ^ | 5/1/2010 | Anthony G. Martin

See link in post 32 in this thread for an interview with a survivor who called in to the Mark Levin show:

This was my comment on the thread after listening to the interview:

Firsthand report from a highly credible survivor— accident.

And the BOP had been tested prior to the maneuver. He said although he didn’t have firsthand knowledge of the test results, they never would have continued had the BOP test results indicated a failure of any kind.

Check these out.

I do not believe for a second that the Gulf of Mexico crude pipeline was an accident. It is just too Obama right on schedule to be anything but a controlled crisis to benefit Obama.
