"Family Guy" Creator Says Arizona Law Like Nazi Germany

"Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane has compared a tough new immigration law in Arizona to those of Nazi Germany.

MacFarlane, whose irreverent animated TV comedies have themselves provoked controversy, said the Arizona law was more shocking than anything he had done on television.

"It's too much. It's kind of a slap in the face, it's not the way to handle it...Nobody but the Nazis ever asked anybody for their papers," MacFarlane told Reuters Television in an interview on Thursday.

"Walking down the street, a cop can come up to you and say 'May I see your papers?' -- I think they should be required to ask that question in German if the law sticks around," he added.

I think this guy is an attention groveler.

And why anyone asks him what he thinks is beyond my understanding.

A big fat lie.

This douchebag has obviously never been to Mexico.

There, the authorities are allowed to inquire as to the "status" of any foreign national.

How can these boobs miss the point that asking for ‘papers’ from LEGALS is a LOT different from doing the same with ILLEGALS??

And the local cops. And the Sheriff's deputies. And the State Police. And the FBI, the Secret Service, BATF, local banks, supermarkets, airlines and half a million others.

This ass just displayed the attitude that led me to only watch 15 minutes of his TV program when it first aired, before switching channels.

The negative comments against the AZ law that reinforces the Federal law just demonstrates that some people (including some GOP politicians) don’t read the law or even think logically before spewing out their liberal BS.

What a BLOOMING IDIOT.

Everyone who compares this law to the Nazis is embarrassingly showing their lack of intelligence.

The Nazis wanted to see the papers of their OWN citizens to round up and kill the ones who had the wrong religion.

The Arizona law states that if an officer has reason to believe that someone he is questioning for another reason may be illegally in this country, he can ask them and forward their info to ICE. Slightly different from Nazi Germany, no?

I have lived in a country near its border with another country. I needed my passport on me every single day as I often crossed the border. YES, I was asked for my papers. Sheesh. It happens ALL THE TIME near borders, except of course on the USA side of the Mexican border.

Seth McFarlane is a blooming IDIOT.

This comparison of Arizona’s Law to Nazi Germany is in itself like Nazi Germany. In this case it is like Nazi propaganda.

We all know that federal law requires people from foreign lands to carry papers for identification at all times—don’t we? Those who do not know about the federal law and spout this Nazi business are idiots, dupes or liars. In this case, the Arizona law is the same as the federal law. The law is the law; not Nazi Germany. The purpose of the law is to maintain social order and justice.

Yes, it’s exactly like NAZI Germany. There are stormtroopers marching through the streets beating and shooting down illegal aliens. And gernalists.

Why the hell did Rush appear on this show last year?
(Or should I say his voice?). Rush actually flew to Los Angeles to work on this show.

Next time I get pulled over and the cop asks for my license and registration, should I say “NO ONE BUT NAZI GERMANY ASKED TO SEE PAPERS!!”

What a moron.

Exactly! These people are intellectually bereft..They may have a sense of humor but so do some of the lowest IQs around. I have to show “papers” (proof of my ID) at my local K-Mart every time I shop there and want to write a check or use my credit card and so does everyone else..It is their policy and I am not offended at all because I want their sales to remain safe from thievery. The people against this law which mirrors the unenforced federal law do not want their corrupt playhouses to be demolished. It is all about power, money and the drug trade. I hope other states who sympathize with Arizona's dilemma will rally ‘round, vacation there, spend money there, do business there and neutralize the threatened boycotts by boycotting those who are doing the threatening. Arizona has stepped up to defend our freedoms and we had better support them.

Hey “Family Guy” Creator, you need to get out more:

Everyone is required to show a driver’s license to get on an airplane, to check into a hotel, even to purchase some over-the-counter allergy medicines.
