ATHENS, May 5 (Reuters) - Greek civil servants will strike again next week to protest against austerity measures, the public sector union ADEDY said on Wednesday.

"We will continue our struggle. We will meet tomorrow morning to announce a strike for early next week," Ilias Vrettakos, deputy head of ADEDY, told Reuters after public and private sector workers staged a nationwide strike on Wednesday.

They have blamed the Germans, GS, the Turks, the banks, the Americans and everyone else but themselves. But the party is over either way, 30 years of free money are over.

I think the Greeks should strike until the world gives them trillions of dollars to stop.

Which will never happen.

I hate unions.

In other words "We will swirl around the bowl a few more times before we get flushed into the sewer".

What do they expect to accomplish with the strikes when the country is broke? Someone enlighten me, please.

What "struggle"... you pathetic spoiled piece of modern Euro-s***? You and your socialist coherts in the leisure class have never struggled in your entire lives. You have no idea what a struggle is a- you've been leeching off of others for a generation now.

Three dead? Once they start killing and firebombing, they become a danger to the innocent and need to be dealt with in an EXTREMELY harsh manner - like being shot through the melon on sight.

They are about to find out what happens when they demand and demand until they are blue in the face and the other side simply says “no”.

Greece is pretty much now a third world country.

Germany will bail out Greece, Portugal and Spain. The IMF will bailout Germany, Barry will bailout the IMF. Then welcome back dark ages and a healing mother earth.

“In Marxist theory, the Communist Party represented the interests of productive workers, the value of whose labor is expropriated by others. That was wrong, but at least it had a certain coherence.

Greek Communists (and more generally, 21st century socialists) stand for something quite different: the “right” to be supported by the labor of others (in the Greek case, Germans); the “right” to be a sponge, forever; the “right” to be an exploiter. It would be hard to think of a less attractive political program.”

Total disaster and another junta! Tourism makes up 15-20% of their economy. Would you book a trip to Greece right now?

"More from Kate Connolly in Berlin. She reports that insurance experts are advising German travellers to Greece that they may be entitled to cancel their holidays and get full refunds, if they are at risk of having them ruined or if their lives are endangered due to the general strike in Greece:

There's already evidence that substantial numbers of Germans have cancelled holidays to Greece, normally a popular destination for them, or avoided it altogether this summer because of the considerable ill-feeling that exists in Greece over Germany's reluctance to help the country out. Swastikas have been waved in the streets of Athens, etc. Some populist commentators are saying that Germans being punished twice for the Greek disaster – 1. they'll be paying it for years in capped wages, higher debt, etc. 2. their holidays are being ruined to boot.

Tourism is a vital part of the Greek economy, generating close to a fifth of its GDP (estimates vary)."

Does these striking public service workers still get paid when they walk out? I would not be surprised if they do.

"I hate unions."

This is a "teachable moment" for America.

Look at what the public sector unions have done to Greece.

Look at what the Greek unions are doing now.

Now look at the plans of the SEIU and AFL-CIO.

Now look at the marches organized by the SEIU and AFL-CIO.

QED.

They can just print money on toilet paper. It will spend just the same.

And striking public sector workers? Who’s gonna notice?
