"My goal is simply to build our numbers so we can provide checks and balances to single-party power here in Washington,"

Too bad the Dems aren't saying that about Cornyn and his boys...

SCAM-A-RAMA--GANGSTER GOVERNMENT AT WORK G-20 Euro Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors asked the United States----the IMF’s largest contributor----for a whopping $108 billion to rescue bankers around the world.

Rahm said OKAY just as long as the usual cut was wire-transferred offshore to the usual notorious money laundering havens: Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Russia, India, Israel, Panama, the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, the Cook Islands, Dominica, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Panama, the Philippines, St. Kitts and the Grenadines, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Monaco, Antigua, Tortola, BVI.

So Obama quickly obliged and asked Congress to fold the $108 billion into a war-spending bill, originally crafted to send money to US troops.

Sen Jim DeMint (R-SC) offered an amendment to take it out of the war bill b/c he knew this was an "international version of the domestic TARP" (containing the same billion dollar kickbacks).

But the Democrat Senate voted to keep the IMF bailout in the war-spending bill (thus guaranteeing Democrats that their percentage was intact).

That “faux conservative stalking horse” was the only legitimate conservative in the race, unlike your 1% no-name loser who couldn’t beat a full-on lunatic by the name of Ron Paul, then proceeded to turn around and lose all credibility when he backed a pro-life liberal snake oil salesman. Hell, I highly doubt he could’ve even carried his own state if he were the nominee.

I remember the endless stream of garbage you posted daily about the “stalking horse”. It’s actions like yours’ that helped to split the base and ultimately aided in getting Obama elected. Thanks.

If you plan on doing it again, do everyone a favor and take yourself a long vacation starting in late 2011.

Your stalking horse was actually McCain’s 2000 campaign manager. Your stalking horse co-sponsored the most egregious global warming legislation to date. Your stalking horse was the indispensable man when it came to ramming McCain-Feingold-Thompson down America’s throat - even defending it in the SCOTUS. Your stalking horse was a member of the Senate Centrist Coalition with Arlen and Olympia and Jeffords his entire career. Your stalking horse lied through his stalking horse teeth about his (various) positions on abortion. Your Stalking Horse was a patsy on illegal immigration. Your stalking horse was just that, a stalking horse. McCain was dead in the water til he waltzed in.

Not my fault you were stupid enough to believe his claptrap.

I think a big problem with strong conservatives is that they can’t come to grips with the fact that our most counted on conservatives are still POLITICIANS.

I don’t hold DeMint any more less conservative for hopping on Myth Romney’s bandwagon than I hold Palin less conservative for supporting Uber RINO McCain.

DeMint is a good conservative who is a politician, if Romney is leading the pack (which he probably will) he will endorse him again and hope for the VP nod.

I hate Romney, but the odds are that he will win the nomination. Conservatives are divided as usual. RINOs and Establishment win.

DeMint would be a great Senate Majority Leader...McConnell is useless as is Cornyn.

"My goal is simply to build our numbers so we can provide checks and balances to single-party power here in Washington,"

In other words, his goal is not to become the single-party power, but just strong enough to moderate the Democrats. I think he may be confusing 'checks and balances' with pork and earmarks.

"but I think as a pragmatic matter we've got to nominate Republicans who can get elected in their states."

And here, he's just plain lying. Cornyn is supporting only moderates, even in places conservatives could win.

When Freepers who have a clue say this....they are ignorantly called rinos lol.

DeMint is right though...we need the Scott Brown’s and the Fiorina’s in Mass. and Cali.

Sounds like Gingrich making the Pubs a majority in the House.

Jim DeMint is becoming something of a tea party hero, even a potential conservative kingmaker, a status that is not making the freshman senator many friends among fellow Republicans in Congress.

One question...is he endorsing JD Hayworth OR John McCain?

Yeah, but one of this pricks always split off to vote with the Dems on important issues. Once in a while they stay with us, but generally one or the other of them contributes to our defeat.
