Thunder on the MountainThe only good thing about the last two election cycles is that the rats knocked off a lot of RINOs. While I prefer conservatives, there are some places in the country that either you have a RINO or a rat.

RINOs are Rats. They aren’t called RINOs because they vote with us.

he's viewed by many as an ideologue willing to purge centrist veterans I have no problem with that. At all. As long as he stays true to it and doesn't endorse Romney again this time around.

Sen. John Cornyn, chairman of the Senate committee to get Republicans elected, said DeMint may be hurting the party's ability to regain power in Washington.
"My goal is simply to build our numbers so we can provide checks and balances to single-party power here in Washington," Cornyn said. "I think he has a different goal, which is to try to move the Republican conference in a more conservative direction. If that were possible and we were able to win elections all around the country I would be all for it, but I think as a pragmatic matter we've got to nominate Republicans who can get elected in their states." What good will it do to regain control if they just reach across the aisle once they get there. Demint's got the right idea, and the more I hear about him, the more I like him.

In other cases, DeMint's silence has been telling. He pointedly refused to aid once-popular Republican Bob Bennett, a three-term senator who was defeated Saturday by conservative voters in Utah's GOP convention. After Bennett's loss, DeMint immediately endorsed Mike Lee, one of the two Republicans in a runoff. Smart move.

The RINO’s have proven themselves amenable to abandoning principle to compromise with the left; as soon as they recognize the advantage of doing the same with the Tea Party, they’ll be on board.

I believe strongly in meritocracy.
Rewarding simple time in office is a leftist/union institution. It has no legitimate place in conservative leadership.
Promote the most capable and most conservative among us. Length of time in office is a small piece of the puzzle.

SCAM-A-RAMA--GANGSTER GOVERNMENT AT WORK G-20 Euro Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors asked the United States----the IMFs largest contributor----for a whopping $108 billion to rescue bankers around the world.
Rahm said OKAY just as long as the usual cut was wire-transferred offshore to the usual notorious money laundering havens: Lebanon, Liechtenstein, Russia, India, Israel, Panama, the Bahamas, the Cayman Islands, the Cook Islands, Dominica, the Marshall Islands, Nauru, Niue, Panama, the Philippines, St. Kitts and the Grenadines, Cyprus, Gibraltar, Monaco, Antigua, Tortola, BVI.
So Obama quickly obliged and asked Congress to fold the $108 billion into a war-spending bill, originally crafted to send money to US troops.
Sen Jim DeMint (R-SC) offered an amendment to take it out of the war bill b/c he knew this was an "international version of the domestic TARP" (containing the same billion dollar kickbacks).
But the Democrat Senate voted to keep the IMF bailout in the war-spending bill (thus guaranteeing Democrats that their percentage was intact).

His efforts, highly unusual for a freshman, have upset senators on Capitol Hill, where he's viewed by many as an ideologue willing to purge centrist veterans... Sounds like Gingrich making the Pubs a majority in the House.

RINOS talk one thing and do another.
America does not need this, it is part of the problem. We need people with honor that take the duty seriously. We need people who will do what they say they will. Simple as that.
