That is also how the Soviets got the secrets, along with the space shuttle design, and everything else. Except they weren't really spies, they were employees of FDR.

[i]t was Einstein who wrote the letter stating how important it was for the US to get the bomb made before the Nazis could.
Actually, it was written by Leo Szilard, but went out under Einstein’s name. (Check out “The Making of the Atomic Bomb” by Richard Rhodes).

Itsimilar to what our F-111s had to do when they struck Libya when France and Spain refused them overfly rights.

Putting a gas tank and a refueling boom on an commercial aircraft is hardly rocket science.

Thanks hennie pennie!
The officials also said the development overcame several years of refusals by Washington to supply the systems required for the 1,000 kilometer flight from Israel to Iran.

“I show proof of major spying from Israel on the US after you say Israel has no need for that, you you have no response, save for Who gives a crap?
That tells us a lot about you.:
Well, I guess it says a lot about me too, as, like Rush would say, Ditto, you don’t like Israel, but who gives a crap.

Tanking also allows for a much greater bomb load. A fighter can take off with a full bomb load and empty tanks, then refuel at altitude before heading on the mission. Without refueling, you have to trade bombs for gas.
If Israel does strike Iran, it will be with the tacit cooperation of some other nation. Probably Jordan and Saudi Arabia.
To: MediaMole
saudi arabia would love nothing better. It’s a sunni vs. shia thang...with Israel stuck in the middle. No matter what they do, they are going to receive horrendous retaliation, both from the world at large with the US leading the charge, and from the muslims of ALL sects.

You seem to be a bit mixed up. Have you ever checked out the history of air refuelling? Check out the history of companies such as Flight Refuelling Systems and Cobham. It was the UK that developed the probe and drogue method that the Israelis used in the late 1960s.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cobham_plc
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aerial_refueling
The UK had no need to ask the US or anyone else for tanker aircraft nor to develop hose drum units. The UK had been selling them around the world for decades. The UK was developing air refuelling systems long before Israel existed as a nation.

Israel has operated aerial refuelling tankers since the late 1960s. It also operated buddy-buddy refuelling systems as supplied on such aircraft as A-4 Skyhawk
Israeli KC-97 using both probe and flying boom
