I’ve always wondered why a man would want to separate a 2 year old child from its mother and what they would do with the child once they have it. Parenting a 2 year old is no picnic.

The only reason I can imagine is just pure vengance. Do you actually think the child is in danger?

Don’t use your child as a pawn in your war.

Not all women are good mothers. Please don’t assume this man is a terrible father. I’ve watched a woman walk away from sons 3 and 5 years old because she “had other things to accomplish now”.

What do you think about a woman who would want to separate a 2 year old child from its father?

Well, since the woman took the child, it appears she's the one that's playing chess.

This is not a war with wife. She is unstable mentally. Judge ordered something yesterday, she did not like it and poof, she’s gone. I have been primary caregiver of that child since she was 2 months old. I’m a man and I’m a better mother than lots I know.

What an obnoxious thing to say, considering you know nothing about the situation.

Have you ever wondered why a woman would want to separate a 2 year old child from its father?

Parenting a 2 year old is no picnic.

True...for a man or a woman.

Some fathers actually love their children.

And what makes you assume a mother is any more capable of parenting than a father? This one, for example, just violated a court order and thrust her child into a fugitive life style and/or a long wrenching legal battle.

Parenting a 2 year old is no picnic.

I won full custody of my 2 Sons, and they're very young.
Parenting them by myself is better than any picnic. It's been over three years of heaven.
I have no social life, but I don't care. My Sons come first.

You sound like a liberal activist judge in a "family court".

In many cases I have seen it was because the mother was unfit, i.e. drug and/or lifestyle issues.

And I have always wondered why women think they are the only ones capable of raising children. Men can just as easily raise a child as a single parent as a woman. I don't know the whole story here but the guy does say it was joint custody, the wife lied about violence which apparently was proved to be a false accusation at which point she took the child and left the area against the custody agreement.

The father’s child has been taken away, and “pure vengance” toward the mother is the only reason you can think of for why he’d want his child back? As a devoted father, your viewpoint is real hard for me to understand...

I suggest that you take time to deal with your daddy issues, and then come back to FR.

What a sexist remark!!! What makes you think a female has superior parenting skills?

She shouldn't Don’t use your child as a pawn in your her war.

Considering who's made false accusations and is fleeing the jurisdiction the above wording is more appropriate.

Unfortunately, this particular type of vengeance is much more typical of females than males.

“The only reason I can imagine is just pure vengance.”

Our neighbor just got temporary custody of his daughter from the mother. (They weren't married). He is married now to another gal.

The judge went down the list of places the mother and child had lived in the last 9 months since she was born. 22 different places (all as a “roommate” of a friend or a listing on Craigslist). 3 of the “addresses” were prison.

The judge said “Until the final hearing in August, it is my judgement that the child would be best served living with the father and step-mother in a more stable environment.”

I'm guessing that the CPS charges, drugs and booze, and abandoning the baby for hours on end so she can go to the bars will be saved for the August hearing.

I was pleasantly surprised that the judge awarded custody to him as they are so usually so “pro mom”. I guess this case it was just so obvious.
