Ahhhhh Laura Bush strikes again! Looks like she is enjoying being out of the WH. Of course her dumb ass husband GW Bush paved the way for 0bozo to get elected and to rape & pillage the country.

At this rate, the Bushes are making themselves persona non grata no matter where they go. Must be getting kind of lonely for GW Bush, nobody ever calls or invites him to speak or campaign for Repubs. That's cause nobody wants a quisling Republican to campaign for them.

Hey Laura Bush....just STFU!!! Your book sales must be down.

It seems Laura Bush is not too bothered how this administration has treated her husband George!

That's true. However it seems that GW Bush stays with his tried & failed policies of never speaking up to counter the lies of the MSM or the demoRATs, for 8 years of his presidency or even now. As much as I hate 0bozo the Clown, he has made mincemeat out of GW Bush, but GW Bush just continues to smile stupidly. GW Bush doesn't seem to mind the lies either. He needs someone to smack him alongside the head at least once a day, just to clear the cobwebs and fog out of his mind.

I think that we are on the same side. Any difference of opinion about George W. Bush doesn’t change that. I have been focused on a statement that Ross Perot made the day before Bush 41 got Congressional approval to go in to Kuwait.

Bush had mentioned a “New World Order.” Perot stated that he defied George H.W. Bush to tell the people just what that New World Order (NWO) was. He begged the American people to contact their representitives in Congress to demand an explanation before they approved entry of our forces into Kuwait.

I was in Phila. and I called a Republican office to ask about NWO. I was informed that the person who could answer my question was not in the office, but if I left my name and phone number that person would get back to me. A couple of days later I called an office in Texas to ask the same question.

I am a little cloudy on why I called Texas, but the response was identical. The individual who could answer the question was not in, but would get back to me soon. The result was the same. Nada!

I should mention that I had heard about One World Government before and learned that my liberal Democratic friends ridiculed anyone who mentioned it. They described it as a paranoid right wing conspiracy theory.

Bush 41 said not too long ago that “Fortress America” was finished. He said that in a contemtuous manner. Now I have come to view Bush 43 with the goal of establishing a world government. I see his efforts to give amnesty to millions of illegal aliens and his refusal to seal our borders after 9/11 as a violation of the oath he took to defend the Constitution and the nation. How can you defend our nation while refusing to seal our borders?

In any case I am happy to talk to someone who shares my views on most issues. Take care.

I knew what answer she should give when the question was asked but she answered the exact opposite way. I watched it live and yes I switched the channel after her reply.

“Now it becomes more clear why GW Bush was so confused and wishywashy about so many domestic policies. Look at what he had to listen to at home. She posed as a quiet supportive deferential First Lady but probably nagged him like a fishwife.”

Good point. Maybe she gave him that cut that was supposedly from choking on a chip. Very disappointing that she is coming out with these views. Doesn’t she realize how out of step with their constituency these views are?

Sorry, Bush is only one voice. The presidency is a loud voice, but not so loud with a GOP president.

A GOP president has to be defended or they leave office in distain as G.W. Bush, G.H.W. Bush and Reagan ALL did. Time of course heals this some, but that cuts both ways.

As much as I hate 0b0z0 the commie pig, he reacts & hits back INSTANTLY the moment there is even a hint of criticism of his policies or especially of him. 0b0z0 doesn't wait for other demoRATs to speak on his behalf. GW Bush allowed the media & the RATs to pound on him for 8 years with barely any rebuttals. Unless of course he criticized conservatives or patriots opposed to amnesty or open borders or runaway government spending. Then GW Bush's scorn & disdain for the conservative wing came through loud & clear.

No he does not. He lets others do it for him, particularly the lefties in the press. Well the DC conservatives in the press were such weaklings they could not stand up for Bush.

BTW as commander in chief Bush could not get away with pointing out how light US casualties were while fighting a war on several different fronts during his time in office. Others must do that for him. But the conservative pundits cut and ran.

She liked Miers too.

Ther is a reason I’d never vote for that woman to hold any political office.

"Laura supports gay marriage, abortion and Kagan. What a gal! "

Wonder where she's at with partial birth murder- The United Methodist Church was totally for it under Clinton. They even congratulated him TWICE for his vetos of the bans that Congress passed. Evil bastards.

Sadly true. I remember reading here an article that all the Bush women were for abortion and the men not.

Most of FR thought it was BS but it has all proved to be true. It really does explain a lot of the turmoil in W’s administration. Why he never fought back, etc...

Bush was doomed by his refusal to veto the excesses of the 2004 Republican Congress, and tried to get along with the 2006 Democratic Congress that proceeded to destroy this country. Our economic collapse was caused by actions and policies of the Democratic congress, passively supported by Bush's collapse as a leader who just wanted out.

Good comments! I agree!

I don’t view what happened as unspeakable. Posters supporting liberals left or were banned. I don’t hate Rudy but this is a conservative site. If people wanted to support his presidency they should have found a libertarian venue to do it. The whining over someone pro-choice not being embraced here is silly.

Far as Laura Bush goes I was never a big fan. The woman said the same thing about Miers.

I’m a woman. I believe a woman should have the opportunity to hold certain positions if qualified and standards don’t have to be lowered. It would be fine if a qualified woman was appointed. Instead we keep having women nominated for their sex and maybe race or sexuality. I find it insulting. It’s sexist it’s own way. Too bad Laura doesn’t appear to have the ability to understand that.

Fine. Is Kagan a real woman?

There was an urban legend about a woman who looked like a man selected as Pope long ago and she fell off of some kind of wagon and was “discovered”. The result was at the “smoke house” where the Cards selected the pope there was a “pope checker” that felt under the robes to ensure they were selecting a male.

Are you suggesting a judge checker?
