Obama Risks a Domestic Military Intervention
TPM ^ | 5/1/109 | John L. Perry

There is a remote, although gaining, possibility America's military will intervene as a last resort to resolve the "Obama problem." Don't dismiss it as unrealistic.

America isn't the Third World. If a military coup does occur here it will be civilized. That it has never happened doesn't mean it wont. Describing what may be afoot is not to advocate it. So, view the following through military eyes:

I got it alright...

From what I understand, she’s also backs freedom of speech, too,

No she does not.

You were saying ...

When I read you profile page, you are such a hypocrite and naturally you just “misspoke” like Dick Blumenthal’s Vietnam hero status!!

I don't see a thing wrong with what I said on my homepage here... it's all exactly what I think, which is exactly what I post on too ... LOL ...

If you read my posts, you'll see all those things I've put down there, that I'm posting on all the time ... so I don't know what kind of "problem" you have ... :-)

So here’s is what you were told to stay off eligibility threads, yet you purposely invoke “Birthers” in your posts, yet this thread here has NOTHING to do with “Birthers”!!!

No, what it had to do with was flame wars where people were getting personal and posting accusations at each other, instead of dealing with the issues.

I post to Jim Robinson about the birther issue and have an intelligent discussion -- and so, that's not the problem. See Post #229 ... :-)

And as far as it having to do with the birthers ... yes it does, as I mentioned up above -- in that some of the same things mentioned here are mentioned by some of those birthers, too -- and thus -- you will find those of a similar mind in that group, just as you see here in this thread ...

And in addition, I've written to Jim in the past and that's not been mentioned to me by him. I do remember discussing with him about not getting personal with an individual about some comments and thus not get into flame wars (as was happening)... and thus, it was about keeping it on issue and not personal with particular people.

Therefore that "thinking" that I've seen posted by several different posters in birther threads does exactly fit the mentality here as discussed in this thread.

I went back to the entire Web 2.0 conference and got the whole thing so I could figure it out — and from what I could see of the speech and that interview there (and there were a lot of people there at that conference), I couldn’t see that, at all. What I saw was supporting Free Speech... (in a technical manner) in that all packets on the Internet would be treated equally, regardless of their content... everyone the same ... no content restriction ... that’s what I see.

ST is banned from the BC thread, so she or he has to try to sneak it on other threads.

No fun to let it go on unopposed, though. Just when they get warmed up...

That thing wasn’t a big deal, but only came up as a side issue at the end — the really “big deal” was those who backed Carly Fiorina — namely Sarah Palin, James Inhofe, Tom Coburn,

The establishment usually do endorse the person in power or someone like Fiorina who smooched her way around the establishment for a long time. In this election cycle, establishment endorsements won't mean more than a hill of rotten beans.

You must have missed my comments in a birther thread and I was posting to Jim about it... see Post #229 ... that's right on a birther thread itself and discussing the core issues ...

And there's no sneaking here -- it's plain and obvious -- I made the direct connection in the thinking of some of those who post on the birther threads -- right to this thread, itself.

I can't be any more obvious than that ... LOL ... it pertains exactly to this subject on this thread.

I have no problem with a candidate who gets prolife groups in California to back her, who gets the NRA to back her, who gets Sarah Palin to back her and who gets my own two US Senators, James Inhofe and Tom Coburn to back her...

I would say that they know exactly the kind of candidate can beat Barbara Boxer and who can carry forward with those NRA backed issues, with the prolife backed issues and with the fiscal issues (as all of those who back her have said).

You are crazy. This is what Carly Fiorina said in the video link I gave you. It's the same video of Fiorino's face plastered on the top of FR threads you see.

Question: How do you think the World Wide Web (WWW)/Internet should be governed or should it be regulated?

Fiorina: We need to acknowledge the WWW and the Internet cannot be forever a sphere apart. The World Wide Web cannot be forever the wild wild west. The online world would begin to be more and more regulated.

This viewpoint expressed by Fiorino is clearly anti-free speech.

Are you telling us to believe you have private conversations with Jim Robinson, or is this just Dick Blumenthal misspeaking???

When you invoked your remarks about "Birthers" here on a none "Birther" thread you just instigate that flame war you were warned about!!!
