S’pose that's why Kiefer's been gettin’ in all those drunken brawls lately?...some guy makin’ fun of his man-purse?

All you need to know is that, when in a tight spot, never swallow your SIM card.

Yup, pretty much agree with all. Despite being a big lib in real life, I thought Cherry Jones did a hell of a job acting in season 8. You could just see her gradually falling apart as she slid further and further down the slippery slope, almost reminded me of Nixon at times. I kept hoping she’d do the right thing, and in the end, she did. Back when we were kids, they’d tell us there was a “moral to the story”, and given how badly we need leaders who really can face up to their own mistakes, I think that’s an appropriate way to end the series. (If it had to end, that is).

Another thing I liked about how the series was written is how they provided a mirror on current “real world” events yet never got partisan. Just good guys vs. bad guys...

And I still wonder how long before someone notices that probation officer rotting away behind the conference room wall.

I think they should’ve ended it about 3-4 years ago.

Sutherland, et.al. needs to have a trilogy with three movies in the can. They need to be released about every 3 months,...building one upon the other. They would be minting money.

After all these years, tonight my wife finally agreed to watch Season One with me tonight. I think she will love them (and they are now streaming via Netflix!). I hope you are right.

Me neither never watched a single episode. I mean no disrespect buy you remind me of that guy in high school who always insisted he never watched TV as if that made him more worthwhile than the rest of us. Of course it wasn't until later that we all found out the reason he didn't watch tv was because he was busy with his Hustler collection.

Such an empty feeling knowing the series is over and that there is no “24” next week! (((((sobbing)))))

Yes — there will be a movie, but I want a “24” movie, and then “Son of 24” and then “Return to 24” and as many sequels as they can think of. And — I want Chloe in all of them.

And I want the movie to be next week!

Pres. Logan is gonna get in trouble with the BATF for using a pillow silencer without paying the $200 federal tax.

Pres. Taylor was cast as a Hillary Clinton stand-in, but no way would a Hillary Clinton ever give up her power in that way - she would be denying personal culpability and blaming it on the VRWC until her last breath...

RE: 24

An amazing emotional but so true ending, if Rupert and anyone else is listening, the NY Post tomorrow should be:

PRESIDENT TAYLOR SHOWS THE GUTS AND TRUTH THAT THE CURRENT FAKER IN CHIEF NEVER HAD

I would personally by 50 copies, if that ever appeared, Bravo Fox, Kiefer, etc, Bravo....

I am available at jpallenjd@yahoo.com (most days)

What was the show about?

It's about a special agent who can operate for 24 hours without sleep, food, or bathroom breaks while saving the country from terrorists, nukes, and assorted WMD's. Most everyone around him dies.

“You could just see her gradually falling apart as she slid further and further down the slippery slope...”

The compromise of the ego that Logan played upon was Taylor's downfall. It was almost Shakespearean. She wanted the Middle East peace treaty too much.

There was a most interesting article posted on FR a few weeks ago about that same false goal. I think it was called something like ‘the false religion of a middle east peace’. It was written by a long time advocate of middle east peace treaties who woke up to what a false hope it is.

Bauer's statement at the end was very wise: that both parties must want it to work otherwise it will not last.

Best line of the night was Logan's plea to Taylor ‘No matter if you bury Bauer in the deepest, dark pit he will claw his way back.’

Mr. Sol
