COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The political blogger who shocked the governor's race Monday by alleging an affair between himself and candidate Rep. Nikki Haley released phone records Thursday that he says are just more evidence to prove his claim.
Will Folks, operator of FITSNews.com, says the records are just more proof of the "inappropriate physical relationship" between him and the three-term legislator.
The 987 pages worth of phone records show Folks' cell phone usage from February 2007 to earlier this month. They cover thousands of incoming and outgoing numbers and some of them went to or from Haley's number.
Haley says the phone calls are the result of a working relationship she had with Folks at the time and nothing more. She also once again flatly denied any sort of relationship with Folks.
"My husband and I have been completely faithful to each other for 13 years," said Haley, issuing her second denial in as many days. "There is no truth to the allegations and people have been overwhelmingly supportive."
Pointing to the political process, Haley says the allegations are just another reason why "good people don't run" for office.
As for the phone calls, she says they are the result of a working relationship she had with Folks at the time and nothing more.
When questioned about potential legal action against Folks, Haley says she has spoke with her husband and said there would be steps taken in due time.
"There will be a time and place for when all this is over that we will take care of this accordingly," said Haley.
Haley was the benefactor of two endorsements in May. One from Republican icon and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and the other from former first lady Jenny Sanford. She also leads the race, according to two polls.
Well, honestly.. who is surprised?

I believe Haley. Her accuser is not a credible person. At worst IMHO, Haley was too trusting of a co-worker.
Sounds like hedging.
I want to believe her and I mostly do. But it just seems like every time something like this comes up, the truth is not pleasant.

Watch haley’s eyes in that interview. She doesn’t rapid-blink, and she doesn’t look down, she looks right at the person doing the interview. I believe Haley. GO HALEY!!!
Folks said he was going to release the records proving his allegations 2 days ago.
Still waiting.

This is all about smearing Palin.
This guy seems like a lowlife, but I don’t know Haley, either.
So I won’t make a judgement yet.
Yet ironically they are more trustworthy than the New York Times or CBS News, etc.

The wait is over. That scumbag Folks has just released undeniable proof that there was indeed a rumor.
My first thought when I read the FR Bloggers are “scum” inference was a description of the many “lurkers” that do drive-by posts then retreat back to the HuffPo.
I also think he is a lowlife. He acts as though he doesn’t want to be involved but his actions say the exact opposite. Maybe he should get a job with the current regime. He would fit right in.

We now have the phone records. This PROVES that Folks was on the phone with Nikki OFTEN in 2007! VERY often! Because they WORKED together!
No transcripts.
No incriminating or off-colored recordings.
No lurid pictures.
No evidence.
No proof.
No facts.
Just rumors, innuendo, and accusations.
And a shady political blogger with a criminal background who plays fast and loose with the truth to get what he wants, to accomplish his goals.
Oh, and did I mention his connections to a Republican operative with connections to a Free Times Reporter, AND a FORMER Haley Staffer who NOW works for her chief rival Congressman Gresham Barrett? Just a coincidence, I’m SURE...

Nikki — I’m STILL praying for and supporting for you! I HOPE AND PRAY we in SC can find out who’s BEHIND Folks and his shenanigans — I’d DEARLY love throw their careers into the crapper in short order....
