COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The political blogger who shocked the governor's race Monday by alleging an affair between himself and candidate Rep. Nikki Haley released phone records Thursday that he says are just more evidence to prove his claim. Will Folks, operator of FITSNews.com, says the records are just more proof of the "inappropriate physical relationship" between him and the three-term legislator. The 987 pages worth of phone records show Folks' cell phone usage from February 2007 to earlier this month. They cover thousands of incoming and outgoing numbers and some of them went to or from Haley's number. Haley...

Phil Donahue believes people should learn about Fox News's Glenn Beck by watching a video that was posted at the perilously liberal website Daily Kos. In a preview of an interview to be aired on the "Joy Behar Show" Friday, the host asked her guest, "What do you think of this upsurge of the Becks and the Limbaughs and Fox News?"

Ralph Nader has been many things: lawyer, consumer-rights bulldog, political activist and perennial third-party presidential candidate. He has now added a new title to his business card: fiction writer. His latest book, Only the Super-Rich Can Save Us!, is a 700-page populist fantasy in which a small group of billionaires and media moguls — led by Warren Buffett and including Ted Turner, George Soros, Bill Cosby, Yoko Ono and Phil Donahue — pool their massive resources to reform the U.S. With the help of a $15 billion war chest and a p.r. campaign starring a talking parrot, the group successfully...

t was interesting to see my old pal Phil Donahue making the rounds this week promoting his new anti-war documentary. Shining eyes opened incredibly wide, Donahue fulminated against the Iraq war and brooked no dissent: The war is evil and that's that. Donahue's performance brought back memories of my debate with him on "Good Morning America." Shortly after the U.S.-backed campaign against the Taliban in Afghanistan began in October 2001, Diane Sawyer sat us both down and the rhetoric flew like hungry bats at dusk. Poor Diane. When the dust settled, Donahue had proclaimed that America was wrong for unilaterally...

Add the name of Phil Donahue to the list of people who’ve made documentaries about the effects of the Iraq war. The legendary liberal talk-show host and renowned Ralph Nader supporter showed his film — which he called a work in progress — to a private screening group last week. The film, “Body of War,” is unfinished but riveting. It should make Tomas Young, its central character, a star on the lecture and possibly talk-show circuit, much the way Mark Zupan got recognition after last year’s “Murderball.”

I just finished watching the Phil Donahue/Bill O'Reilly debate on FOX News. As I listened to Phil spew out unintelligable conspiracy theories and overall lambast those who continued to support the War on Terror, one line jumped out at me. "Almost 2000 people have died." It got me thinking (don't worry, I'm not going soft on those terrorist scumbags.)...and one very big fact jumped out at me: the Left has lost the concept of sacrifice. Wait; let me rephrase that: they can't grasp it, and they never have. I'm not saying that the 1900+ deaths are insignificant. We should all...

Former television talk-show host Phil Donahue became involved in a heated shouting match last night with Fox News host Bill O'Reilly over continued U.S. involvement in Iraq. However, much of America was not able to see the verbal wrestling match, as breaking news of the landing of a crippled JetBlue flight in Los Angeles pre-empted a portion of "The O'Reilly Factor" during its live feed.

Catholic League president: Church must start playing hardball against victimization New York, Aug. 30, 2005 (CNA) - Yesterday, William Donahue, president of the Catholic League for religious and civil rights called recent verbal attacks on Archbishop William Levada, and legal bullying in the diocese of Spokane, WA, “outrageous” and “no longer about” the alleged victims of the sexual abuse scandal. “The sexual abuse scandal in the Catholic Church”, he said, “is no longer about the alleged victims—they have had their day in court—it is about the victimization of the Catholic Church. The time has come for the Catholic Church to...

Q: Before the election, Alec Baldwin; Rosie O'Donnell Janeane Garafalo, Whoopi Goldberg; Al Franken; Cher; Phil Donahue; Rob Reiner, Barbra Streisand; and Jan Fonda all promised to move from the U.S, if President Bush were re-elected. Who left, and where are they now?? - Stuart Posselt, Minden, Nev. All still live in the good old USA. None seriously considered moving, and our research turned up no public "promises." That list was spread on the web and in print, perhaps to impugn the patriotism of these outspoken liberals (Bold added)

49ers fire head coach, general manager 1/5/2005, 9:18 p.m. ET By GREG BEACHAM The Associated Press SANTA CLARA, Calif. (AP) — Coach Dennis Erickson and general manager Terry Donahue presided over some of the darkest days in the proud history of the San Francisco 49ers, who lost games, good players and incalculable respect in recent years. They insisted they had a plan to restore the franchise to glory, but owner John York decided it's time for a whole new plan. York fired Erickson and dismissed Donahue on Wednesday, just three days after the 49ers finished with the NFL's worst record....

Phil Donahue--what a typical eye-blinking, head rolling KNOW-it-ALL. President Bush should apologize to the world for invading Iraq, is what he believes. Donahue--another media person who sees no problems with fascists and dictators. Donahue is a man who stands ABOVE all problems. What a fool.

The radicalization of Middle America Posted: May 28, 2003 1:00 a.m. Eastern © 2003 Creators Syndicate, Inc. "A well-heeled audience booed the Dixie Chicks plenty during country music's biggest night of the year Wednesday – proof that patriotism continues to run deep through America." So writes Jennifer Harper, embedded correspondent of the culture wars for the Washington Times, about the reception given the famous girl group every time their name came up at the Country Music Awards in Las Vegas. "They're still all riled up," writes Harper. Indeed, America is "all riled up," and something is going on out there....

Fallout Continues From Donahue Commencement Speech POSTED: 11:42 a.m. EDT May 26, 2003 RALEIGH -- North Carolina State University continues buzzing about the politics-laced graduation speech given by former talk-show host Phil Donahue. Several students and audience members walked out May 17, and Donahue was heckled during his talk about his search for liberals. Chancellor Marye Anne Fox has been receiving e-mail messages about it, responding in part to those who disliked the speech: "I share your disappointment in Phil Donahue's address to our graduates on Saturday. Invited by our chair of the faculty to provide an inspirational message to...

Saturday, May 17, 2003 5:45PM EDT Donahue gets cheers, boos at N.C. State commencement The Associated Press RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Talk show pioneer Phil Donahue got catcalls and cheers Saturday for a politically tinged commencement address at North Carolina State University. A handful of the nearly 4,000 new N.C. State graduates walked out of the ceremony at the RBC Center when Donahue began listing "what liberals believe." Donahue said constitutional rights and privileges have been eroded and he made a backhanded reference to the war in Iraq. "Only Congress can declare war," he said to some cheers and boos,...

Did anybody else catch the anchor last night who was in Gonahue-Donahue's old spot on MSNBC? Last name was Scarborough (sp). First name: Joe? John? Jack? anyway, it was MUCH more conservative based than the usual MSNBC stuff. Certainly lightyears away from Donahue!! Might be worth a tune in to check it out. If for no other reason than to further bask in the realization that Donahue got canned. Prairie

Monopolist Microsoft and oligopolist General Electric - the co-owners of MSNBC - took their highest rated show off the air and sent Phil Donahue away on February 25, 2003. After choosing Donahue to host his own 8pm daily show only six months ago, the corporate managers micromanaged, mismanaged and refused to let Phil Donahue be Phil Donahue. About the only freedom Donahue had was the freedom to say what he thinks. Beyond that he was often told what kinds of subjects to showcase and what kind of guests to have. And he was often chided for being too tough on...

I have received several e-mails about Dennis Miller spewing hatred on The Tonight Show a few days ago. From what I’m told, he expressed great contempt for the French and total disdain for the well-being of innocents in Iraq. I believe the letters because I have seen him express similar Jurassic views on other programs. We thought he had bottomed out when he became the sportscasting equivalent of William Shatner/lounge singer, but it now appears he won’t be happy until he gets a show on the Fox News Channel. I used to write for Miller in 1992, when he had...

They had a repeat of Phil Donahue's interview with Dennis Miller tonight. Miller was absolutely brilliant. I mean spectacular. He had this very funny line. " If Saddam Hussien opened an all-male golf club in Iraq, Would The New York Times finally get angry at him?"

The numbers on MSNBC's Donahue versus Hardball. The February 26 CyberAlert noted how despite Donahue's abysmal ratings, the Washington Post's Lisa de Moraes reported that Donahue was "MSNBC's most watched prime time program." I guess that's like arguing over which deck of the Titanic will fill with water first. In a February 26 New York Times story, Bill Carter reported: "In the 8pm slot, Mr. Donahue's show averaged 439,000 viewers over the past month, far short of his competitors, Connie Chung on CNN, who had 970,000 viewers, and Bill O'Reilly on Fox News, who dominated the hour with 2.7...

MSNBC parts ways with Donahue By Peter Johnson Phil Donahue saw the writing on the wall last September -- two months into his MSNBC talk show -- when he told colleague Jerry Nachman that if the numbers didn't begin to click by January, he'd probably be out.The onetime king of daytime talk was wrong: He lasted a month longer than he had predicted. On Tuesday, the third-place cable channel, struggling for ratings and an identity, said that this would be Donahue's last week. The cancellation comes amid speculation that also-ran MSNBC -- trailing far behind juggernaut Fox News Channel and No....

I’m happy to be here in Buffalo today because I couldn’t find an outdoor speaking engagement anywhere further north. What a winter we’ve had! It’s been colder than Nancy Reagan’s heart and longer than Ronald Reagan’s presidency. Speaking of fogbound chiefs of state….I owe Court-appointed President Bush an apology. In the past I have compared him to Adolph Hitler. This was excessive and inaccurate. In fairness, he is really much more comparable to Benito Mussolini. W’s fascism leans more toward economic than racial bigotry. He loves making planes run on time. Given half a chance you just know Bush would...

She watched from the train car as her ailing toddler was handed through the window to the Iraqi soldiers below. She thought her sick and dying child would be cared for at the most and buried at the least. Next she looked, the pack of dogs that hovered near the pit of dead just moments before, ran away with the child's limbs in their bloody mouths. Just one story from the wonderful peoples' paradise of Iraq, where the land blooms in the desert with the stink of death. The Anti-American protestors, abundant around the world last week and soon to...

Comedian, actor and author Dennis Miller appeared on the Feb. 12 ‘Donahue’, ready to debate the MSNBC talk show host on the conflict with Iraq, and to voice his support for President George W. Bush. Click below for more. STARTING ON A congenial note, Miller applauded Donahue: “I’ve always wanted to do a television show with you because you’re (Phil) Donahue. Steve Malzberg will be going mano a mano with Jesse Jackson tonight. Just him and that commie snot nose. This should be interesting. Maybe Steve will get his own show? Who knows? We certainly need to replace Donahue soon. Tonight February 18 at 8 PM, will be rerun at 11 PM.

MSNBC viewers got a lively hour Wednesday night/late afternoon as Donahue came live from Los Angeles at 5pm PST/8pm EST with Dennis Miller as the guest for the hour. So much good stuff, but only so much time to transcribe it. But we got down some of the best parts. Miller so flustered Donahue that he went on a rant about how people like Miller are trying to "marginalize" liberals. Becoming a parody of himself, Donahue whined about how "you're making us to be some sort of wimpy kind of people who, woo, woo, we don't get it. We don't...

Dennis Miller really getting into it with Donahue. Dennis is not only funny...he is smart.

Tonight, Neal Boortz, famed libertarian talk show host will do battle one on one with Phil Donahue. The show starts at 8 PM on MSNBC. Boortz was a guest for a few minutes a week ago but walked off after being mistreated by Donahue. Tonight is the rematch. Fireworks galore. Phil is gonna get pounded. And I suspect tonights show will be Phil's highest rated. Boortz: Why I walked Off Donahue I strongly suggest that FReepers suck it up and do the unthinkable, watch Donahue. And hey, it could be your last chance. He's not gonna be on the air...

Phil Donahue needs to quit seeking the approval of right-wing lunatics and allowing goofballs to drive his program. And, for the sake of both his show and the liberal agenda he has long supported, he'd better do it fast. Consider the themes of three consecutive recent editions -- Dec. 16, Dec. 17 and Dec. 18 -- of Donahue's MSNBC show: "War Protesters: Patriotic or un-American?" "Do You Have to Be a Christian to Go to Heaven?" "Are Today's Women Getting a Free Ride?" Donahue's long been known as a genuine progressive. Inject him with truth serum and I suspect he'd...

MSNBC TV talker Phil Donahue bristled Tuesday at charges that he went soft on a 1999 rape allegation against Bill Clinton, explaining that an interview with the ex-president seven years earlier had left him so rattled he worried about his family. "You know, you're talking to a guy who's got the finger from Bill Clinton for raising Gennifer Flowers on my television show. I did not give Clinton a pass," Donahue told nationally syndicated radio host Sean Hannity, who pressed him on Sexgate allegations by Kathleen Willey and Juanita Broaddrick. "And I was booed by my own audience," Donahue...

Talk of a liberal media bias has been around for years. Now some are asking, is there a conservative bias in the media? DONAHUE goes inside the question with comedian Al Franken, former New York Governor Mario Cuomo, radio talk show host Jeffrey Whitaker, and “Bias” author Bernard Goldberg.

Boom Boom Donahue If there were a lifetime achievement award for sucking, Phil Donahue would get my vote. As the father of the daytime talk show, Phil Donahue is the Marco Polo of trash TV and the reason that modern presidential elections are won by the candidate who causes the most autoerotic secretions by women watching Oprah. It was Phil Donahue who birthed a television format where one day his audience could watch an abortion and the next day stick a dollar in the crotch of a Chippendale dancer. In its 29-year-run (1967-1996), there were nearly 7,000 Phil Donahue shows....

Ashamed of the Red, White & Blue Award First Place Phil Donahue: “Let me tell you what is impressive. You’re not wearing a flag. Well, I don’t want to damn you with my praise, but I say hip-hip-hooray for that, and I think you gave the right answer when you spoke at Northwestern University....” Tom Brokaw: “Right. I said, you know, I wear a flag in my heart, but I think if you wear a flag, it’s a suggestion somehow that you’re endorsing what the administration is doing at the time. And I don’t think journalists ought to be wearing...
