COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) - The political blogger who shocked the governor's race Monday by alleging an affair between himself and candidate Rep. Nikki Haley released phone records Thursday that he says are just more evidence to prove his claim.
Will Folks, operator of FITSNews.com, says the records are just more proof of the "inappropriate physical relationship" between him and the three-term legislator.
The 987 pages worth of phone records show Folks' cell phone usage from February 2007 to earlier this month. They cover thousands of incoming and outgoing numbers and some of them went to or from Haley's number.
Haley says the phone calls are the result of a working relationship she had with Folks at the time and nothing more. She also once again flatly denied any sort of relationship with Folks.
"My husband and I have been completely faithful to each other for 13 years," said Haley, issuing her second denial in as many days. "There is no truth to the allegations and people have been overwhelmingly supportive."
Pointing to the political process, Haley says the allegations are just another reason why "good people don't run" for office.
As for the phone calls, she says they are the result of a working relationship she had with Folks at the time and nothing more.
When questioned about potential legal action against Folks, Haley says she has spoke with her husband and said there would be steps taken in due time.
"There will be a time and place for when all this is over that we will take care of this accordingly," said Haley.
Haley was the benefactor of two endorsements in May. One from Republican icon and former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and the other from former first lady Jenny Sanford. She also leads the race, according to two polls.

Sounds like she’s in the middle of a campaign for the GOP nomination for governor of her state, and a lowlife is trying to derail that campaign. Any effort spent now is a diversion. If she gives this one second more attention than it deserves, he has succeeded.
There will be plenty of time to pursue legal remedies later. The primary is June 8; if she wins that, the general election is in November. The statute of limitations for libel/slander will run well after those elections are concluded and well into her term, if elected.
Correct analysis. The sewer worm Folks doesnt need or deserve more attention right now. I am adding to Haleys funds to make sure she wins. Go Nikki.
I keep hearing this smear can be traced to Andre Bauer. To his credit, Bauer will NEVER be accused of having an affair...well...with a woman.
