Sestak says White House has contacted his brother over job-offer allegation
Washington Post ^ | May 27 2010 | Paul Kane

Rep. Joe Sestak (D-Pa.) said Thursday that his brother has spoken with White House officials about the congressman's allegation that he was offered an Obama administration job if he would stay out of a Democratic Senate primary.

Sestak ran in, and won, that primary, defeating the White House's preferred candidate, Sen. Arlen Specter.

He told reporters Thursday that he would not expand upon his prior statements until the White House releases its report on the matter. President Obama said in his news conference that such a report would come "shortly."

Richard Sestak, the congressman's brother, who has served as his top political adviser and campaign lawyer, spoke with administration officials Wednesday, Joe Sestak said.

"They got a hold of my brother on his cell phone, and he spoke to the White House . . . about what's going to occur," said Sestak, who said he expects the White House will release its information Friday. He declined to elaborate on his discussions with Richard.

Obviously they are working on making the respective revised explanations non-contradictory.

“It’s the Chicago way” - and the news media are sycophants.

No grand jury has been convened and AG Holder is a puke.

Sestak is a puke too.

Rest assured that Sestak will be given the report way in advance. Plus, he will be coached before he answers anymore questions.

Believe me, these people are more corrupt than the mob.

If Sestak ends up “visiting Ft. Marcy Park,” if you get my drift, could Specter still run?

You almost feel a little sorry for Sestack. He has stepped into the classic danged if you do, danged if you don’t situation.

But for pubbies this is must do situation. Take the flipping bull by the horns and carry this thing across whatever the finish line is. If you end up grasping air, spin it in the best way possible. Really folks, read Alinsky, there is some good stuff there,

Holder, Sestak, the zero ... criminals just being criminal. Democrat voters think it’s cool for their democrats to get away with criminality.

Misprision of a felony. Obstruction of justice.

Just wait until congressional hearing in January. This Chicago machine will be squashed.

Well considering they and the White House are the only witnesses, I wouldn't expect much to come of this. They just have to come up with an operative story and stick to it. No one else can prove otherwise.

Darrell Issa has not let up on Sestak.
Runing for the Senate is an ego thing for Sestak.
HE is another Wesley Clark.

If he thinks he will be rewarded for covering up
for Obama, he is as stupid as he seems

Don't think so, esp. after his loss in the primary. Part of me was hoping Specter would win the primary, just to see Pat Toomey beat him in November. And Toomey may still win depending on how this plays out. If Sestak really wants to win he'll tell the whole story, and soon.

But the only witnesses to the crime can lie their way out of it. What actual tangible proof of anything is there. If they both come up with an operative story and stick to it not much can or will be done about it.

I agree, the alinsky method will destroy the libs. You are spot on. The libs have shown their cards, we know, and we’re going to fight it. And We’re going to use their tactics. By we, I mean Americans, not politicians. F them all. See this article, http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2522656/posts. This country is ruled by citizens, and we WILL be free. It’s in our blood. There’s nothing they can spin to make it different.

Well, if the GOP wish to make good use of it, then at least this is a fine issue for November. (If.)

The only way to “fix” the story is for Sestak to say he was mistaken. If he does that, he runs the risk of losing the election.

Sestak is weak, I’ve followed him for a number of years. He parrots the party script and will do so here. He’s like Dukakis, only more mealy-mouthed. He stands with pelosi, maybe even to her left.

He was destined to lose in November anyway but I hope it is a flaming burnout.

The msm has lost their power. The only reason they’re relevant is because talk radio talks about them. I wish all of talk radio would STOP it. The MSM would be NOTHING if not for talk radio’s promotion of them. I’m sick of talk radio and their promotions.
