CARACAS, Venezuela American filmmaker Oliver Stone said Friday he deeply admires Hugo Chavez but suggested the Venezuelan president might consider talking a bit less on television. Promoting his new documentary "South of the Border" in Caracas, Stone heaped praise on Chavez, saying he is leading a movement for "social transformation" in Latin American. The film features informal interviews by Stone with Chavez and six allied leftist presidents, from Bolivia's Evo Morales to Cuba's Raul Castro. "I admire Hugo. I like him very much as a person. I can say one thing. ...

"This is a positive portrayal of a man who Americans do not have access to," Stone said. "He is demonized in the American and European press as a monster."
Stone, you're an assclown
F U Oliver Stone!
Is there any law on the books that people can be stripped (native born) of their citizenship and kicked out of the country? Anyone know?
I thinks it’s time we retire that old saying- “I Don’t Agree With What You Say but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it”.
Why is it that Stone doesn’t live in Caracas, again?
Agreed.
HUGE vision: destroy the economy in the name of “The People.” Terminate freedom of speech, enact a police state. Chavez and cronies get to live in palaces eating expensive foods and wine while the massive live in poverty.
Great vision, Oliver. You complete D-BAG!
Hey stone, you azzhole. Try this:
Go down to Venezuela and say ONE bad thing about chavez. Even something as trivial as “he has bad taste in socks.”
You’ll be dead before you finish saying that. And the world will be better for it.
Make me President and Stone spends the rest of life in prison. Enough of this mental case!
“Stone heaped praise on Chavez, saying he is leading a movement for “social transformation” in Latin American.”
He would like to ‘transform’ the USA as well, with Obama’s help.
Marxists Hugo Chavez & Fidel Castro Join Obama to Denounce Arizona Immigration Law
Weve seen this before
Last year, Barack Obama and Marxists Hugo Chavez and Fidel Castro worked together to pressure Honduras to reinstate corrupt Leftist Mel Zelaya as president.
It didnt happen.
This week these same champions of human rights once again joined with Barack Obama, this time to denounce the Arizona immigration law.
FOX News reported:
On the heels of Mexican President Felipe Calderons speech slamming Arizonas immigration law, Cuban leaders and Venezuelas president are adding to the chorus and calling the law racist and xenophobic but theyre carrying their own human rights baggage.
Cuban parliamentarians passed a resolution last week denouncing Arizonas new law as racist and xenophobic, as well as a brutal violation of human rights. Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, meanwhile, reportedly blasted the law through his minister of foreign affairs, demanding that it be repealed and that America move away from its old habits of racism.
Foreign Minister Nicolas Maduro said immigrants in the U.S. are treated in a manner thats inconsistent with human rights a perennial violation against our fellow Latin Americans, CNSNews.com reported.
Ira Mehlman, spokesman for the Federation for American Immigration Reform, said those criticisms are misguided given the state of human rights in both Cuba and Venezuela.
Theyre not fair and they are obviously politically motivated, Mehlman said. Obviously, [Chavez and Cuban lawmakers] do not have the best interests of the United States at heart. They have appalling human rights records and their criticisms ought not to be taken seriously.

Another left wing socialist hypocrite from Hollywood. He is admiring a socialist thug clown who has destroyed his country. Is Stone going to forfeit the profits from his movies and give it for the “greater good” that those stupid socialists love to talk about?
“South of the Border”? Why not call it “Triumph of the Will 2”? Oliver Stone wants to be Chavez’s Leni Riefenstahl.
(Leni was a much better film maker than Stone will ever be.)
“This is a positive portrayal of a man who Americans do not have access to,” Stone said. “He is demonized in the American and European press as a monster.”
Because he is a monster, you dumb SOB. Good Lord, how I’d love to banish these idiots to a totalitarian state
I propose that Stone just move to Venezuela.
“Man Without A Country”.
This country is full of commie traitors, from the traitor-in-chief to this a$$clown.
Damn, if only I had Fidels eye care I could see stones image cleary.
Before you respond just wanna make sure the masses are gonna pay for my eye care.
