Did you have to check in before you went through the gate?
Where did they think they could hide after running the gate?
DOD stickers are still mandatory at Ft. Lewis & McChord. McChord was going to phase them out, but when they became a joint base with Ft. Lewis, Ft. Lewis said we have to have them.
Dang. Seems like they were well funded. (Hornady!? That’s pretty close to top of the line.)
I’m always amazed (and thankful) that so many (but not all) of these terrorists are total idiots. The thousands of dollars that they probably had in their weapons, but they can’t figure out out to get some fraud I.D. for a few hundred?
Thanks for the pics.
For some reason I cannot see those pictures you posted.
Well they released the pics of them finally:
can't tell nationality, anyone have a guess?
Never mind. I can see them now using Firefox. They didn’t show up on Safari.
Gun oil perhaps?
yep, if you went through the Dale Mabry gate, and two F4s in formation takeoff on runway 22...that's 4 J79s....you were probably yelling at each other at the bowling alley, and didnt realize it.......LOL...spent half of the 70s there..enjoyed every minute....place is too damned crowded nowadays for this guy..
Also a magazine for a glock. The white carton looks like a baby wipe container...The binoculars????? This looks like it could be a case of drunk, scared, had been or going to the firing range/camping trip.
M14's are about $1200 per rifle. A Remington deer rifle would be as effective and much cheaper on a suicide mission.
If I as going to attack a military base,,,why bring all the cloths??? I think someone was paranoid knowing about the guns/ammo, and freaked. Time will tell.
Wow... flash back to childhood... My dad was stationed at McChord,,,I use to ride bicycles all over the Ft. Lewis woods where we were not suppose to. All over McChord also. Back in the day.....
Several of those magazines are empty. There isn’t anyplace to hunt within 20 miles of the base. If they are lost there are plenty of places to turnaround before the gate. The Bayshore Gate is right along the water and not the main gate. It is IMPOSSIBLE to reach the gate without knowing you are entering a military base.
In my experience they don’t search you just for getting lost. If you get to the gate and say ‘I’m lost’ they help and turn you around.
The orange can might be some kind of gun oil.
Would be nice to hear their names. Since it is obvious we can’t hear their names I wonder why their pictures have not been shown yet!
Would be easier to get on base via the water since it has extensive coastline. Watch out for the navy seals and other special forces though.
What the heck are you talking about? We trolls don’t have an accent. Maybe you’re thinking of Uppers, eh?
Folks, this is REALLY serious. MacDill is a vital base. Back when it was SAC, they stored nukes in the earthen bunkers that backed up to the Bayshore. My dad worked for Pepsi-Cola during the late 50’s to early 60’s. MacDill was part of his route and he always used this gate.
During the summer, I worked with him, hauling the heavy wooden cases around. Great for building muscle. Anyway, he went to MacDill three times a week to fill up the vending machines, stock the commissary and deliver syrup to the PX. Security was always lax except on the flight line, where we got escorted to the various vending machines.
I don’t know if they removed the nukes when SAC gave way to Central Command. If they are still there, this is serious beyond comprehension.
‘I dont know if they removed the nukes when SAC gave way to Central Command. If they are still there, this is serious beyond comprehension.”
No nukes there.
A lot of other really vital targets though.
