I find it amazing that the gun industry still makes a weapon that floats in the air and magically fires off at random killing people.

They really need to stop that!!!!

Lorenzo told me he got into a fight earlier in the day and his vanquished opponent had returned for a rematch.

His mother had come out to see what was causing all the commotion as one of the opponent's friends, identified by police as 29-year-old Isa Johnson, pulled a gun and started firing.

In an added twist, police say the others who had guns included the murdered woman's 17-year-old son, Ishmel Rogucki. He has been in custody since the night of the shooting and missed his mother's funeral. The grand jury's finding is pending.

This is an amazing article. Such a wonderful, innocent family! What evil gun makers!

How were these poor people to know that engaging in gun battles with (other) thugs carries the risk of being shot?

/sarc

Why didn't this mother demand that all of her sons come into the house and then call the police? Why did she accompany her gun-wielding son into battle? Whose fault is it that her children now have no mother?

Twins Jordan and Jayden sign card for gravely hurt mom, Victoria Rogucki (below), after Brooklyn shooting. She later died.

My favorite part about the way the Daily News handles these stories is that the truth is just never enough for them. Victoria's story is, of couse, unspeakably tragic. But what actually happened here is that she left her Brooklyn housing project in the late early morning to insert herself into a fight that her two oldest (of seven) kids were involved in. Nobody can blame her for this, and she obviously didn't deserve what she got, but she obviously knew that several of these people (including her son) were armed, and I personally find it hard to believe that she had the demeanor of Mother Theresa when it was going down.

Again, I feel terrible for her, and her younger children, but I can't think of even one reason that the gun industry and their evil huge profits might be responsible.

29-year-old Isa Johnson, pulled a gun and started firing . . .

From the headline, I thought the nasty gun murdered the mommy all by itself.

Gee, she had a 17-year-old gangbanger living with her and got caught in the crossfire. Who'da thunk it?

One high-end manufacturer, Glock, revealed in a 1994 patent lawsuit that it rakes in 68% profit on each weapon.

BP had a net profit margin before the oil spill of 8.32%.

Google reports only 25%.”

******

Since when is 25% less than 8.32%? Or is the moral of the story Google=good, BP and Glock=bad? Not that I’m a big fan of Gaston Glock who I feel will roll over in a heartbeat if he can protect his niche in the market.

Also, let’s hear some more about the backgound of the two primary actors in this tragedy, Isa and Ishmel.

It is the NRA’s fault or the gunsmith’s fault that Ms. Rogucki was caught in the crossfire when her own 17 y.o. son was one of the gunmen?

Haha!!! True! I felt bad in the beginning part when it was yapping on about the mother but then as soon as the POS lib writer launched into “profits”, “corporate greed”, and the NRA, I was yanked back into reality & puked in my mouth a little bit ;)

“That is one of the worst articles I’ve ever read.”

Wow. You said it. That reporter needs to be ashamed of himself or herself. And the editor. The woman was not murdered, she was caught in a crossfire between her kids and some other kids. The emotional manipulation is breathtaking, and ascribing the tragedy to gun manufacturers is like blaming Ford for drunk driving tragedies. This wasn’t a news story, it was an editorial, a blatantly one-sided editorial at that.

No, see that part of the story is another tragic indictment of gun industry blood profits, because now mom's dead and big brother is going to jail when they need him most. Is it his fault that he didn't know he would go to jail for being caught illegally strapped at a homicide?

Anti-gun idiots have been spewing this exact lie for years. Gun makers are responsible for murders committed by teenage gang members in a cith with total gun control?

“Moronic article written by a moron. He does appear to understand though that his dream of a communist Amerika would be a lot easier if those pesky Americans didn’t have guns. It’s an Obama thing.”

On the contray...he and other leftists understand quite WELL that their “dreams of a communist Amerika would be a lot easier...” That’s the reason the left has worked to overturn the 2nd amendment so hard and for so long!

Planned parenthood is responsible for more murders every year than all the gunshot victims combined. Perhaps the looney libs would be happy if all gun makers gave all their profits to planned parenthood?
