Sure, the United States may have lost the gold to Canada in the winter Olympic hockey match, but make no mistake, we are the beacon of excellence for the rest of the world. Well at least for now. The facts are the facts, and its really ugly for most in the world to admit, but as Rush Limbaugh says, It is what it is. There just simply is no finer place than America.
For now, America has the best healthcare in the world. For now, we have the best jobs in the world, and we will always have the finest military in the world. We are, at present, liberating two countries from oppressive regimes, we keep South Korea free, weve liberated Kuwait, and were providing aid to Haiti and Chile. The list just goes on and on.
In my opinion, God loves the United States of America. What other country has done more for liberty than any other country in the world? The United States of America. What country excels at providing the greatest refuge than any other country? The United States of America. What country was largely responsible for liberating the entire European continent from Germany? The United States of America. And what country continues to be the beacon of liberty that spreads hope and promise for the rest of the world? The United States of America.
The truth is that the only place the world can compete is at the Olympic Games. Otherwise, we have the clear advantage everywhere else. Despite Barack Obama's all out attack on this country, we still show everyone else in the world just how it is done.
America may be under assault from Marxism now, but Gods divine providence will see clear to fix that mistake in November. Yes, indeed, I do believe that God loves the United States of America. How else could we have achieved so much in so little time? For those on the American hockey team that feel disappointed, remember when youve gone back to your day job next week, remember that the United States of America has been bringing home the Gold Medal in Excellence since 1776.
It are those thoughts that remind me that I am proud to live in the greatest country in the world. And it is because of FReepers, I am reminded that those principles handed down by our Founders will help to curb the onslaught of Barack Obama and the Democrat Party.
Because of these fine individuals, many of which I can call friends, I consider myself one of the luckiest of men. I thank you for your cause in liberty. I know that our Founding Fathers would no doubt be proud of your efforts in keeping America a Republic. It is with liberty, and the celebration of that liberty in mind that I want to wish you a happy Independence Day.
I thank God for being an American. I thank God for our troops, and I thank God for each and every one of you. Happy Independence Day, FReepers!
Have A Happy Independence Day!
Thanks to all the members (past and present) of the Military that have made this 4th of July possible.
God Bless America!
>>Happy Independence Day>>
and to you too, W33
At the stroke of midnite the radio station I was listening to my favorite Oldies program broke into a narrated “God Bless America” Not sure if it was John Wayne (sure sounded like it).
But you’re not American if you didn’t have a swelling of pride when it was over
Hockey ain't soccer. Hockey has GAMES, not matches. Screw these Euro-weenie writers.
To you too!
Isn't that somethings kids do to get out of school? No, that's hookey.
Wait, I remember, it's the way you might describe a little maudlin contrivance. No, that's hokey.
OK, I looked it up. It's a game played during the winter in a tiny portion of the country where outside water freezes longer than a couple of days. I heard once that Ice-skating was fun but I've never had an opportunity to try it.
At the age of 63, I still get chills running down my spin when I hear our National Anthem.
I suggest you do a little research. Try NHL.com
BTW, we even have teams in the South. Atlanta, Tampa, Nashville, Florida and Carolina.
Show some respect.
same you!
Yes, I know all about the Atlanta Flames! No wait, the current team is the Thrashers. The Flames were the franchise that couldn't make a go of it in the South and left Atlanta without hockey for twenty years.
In all honesty, I'm filled with mirth to see another person from the North that appears to think the world revolves around a professional sport of which I have no comprehension nor any desire to comprehend. Southerners just don't make it a habit to walk on lakes.
GOD BLESS YOU!
You will write Liz Cheney’s inauguration speech some day soon I hope.
Please send me tickets.
