ISLAM: What Is To Be Done?
New English Review ^ | Hugh Fitzgerald

Shortly after the 9/11/2001 attacks, that have entered history under the too-casual shorthand of “nine-eleven,” the American government began to plan to conduct a war against those whom, it correctly believed, were those most immediately involved in the attack. These were the members of an identifiable group called Al Qaeda. Its head was a mediagenic son of a Saudi billionaire, Osama Bin Laden, ably seconded by the scion of a prominent Egyptian family, Ayman Al-Zawahiri (his great-uncle Azzam Pasha had been the first Secretary of the Arab League), with others who had, from their lairs in Afghanistan, been plotting against the West at least since 1993, when the first attack on the World Trade Center took place. And within months it carried out that plan, directed not only at Al Qaeda but at the Taliban that had given Al Qaeda refuge and succor in Afghanistan.

For the first few years of that war, the word “Jihad” was seldom used. Instead, the Americans had set out, so American political leaders said, to defeat a “handful of extremists,” those who had “hijacked a great religion.” The two most important leaders in the West, Bush and Blair, both assured the world that Islam was a religion of “peace” and “tolerance” though no historical evidence for this absurdity was adduced. – Blair even let it be known that he carried a Qur’an around in his pocket, which was meant to suggest his appreciative familiarity with its contents.

there is no way that western powers can identify, much less control the radical factions of islam.

only other islamists, those who are “peace loving” can know which ones are destructive and can control.

it is simple: tell all islam we will no longer tolerate these radical elements and will destroy anyone or anything that harbors terror.

the west contains the weapons that can destroy islam. let them police themselves or face the peril of noncompliance.

let them police themselves or face the peril of noncompliance.

Self policing has been completely non-effective. islam as a religion has failed to do what every other major religion on the planet has done over time: go through reformation and renounce violence as a means of conversion.

Forced conversions happen today in the middle east, africa, and parts of asia-pacific such as Indonesia on a daily basis. Islam persecutes Christians, Jews, Buddhists and any other religion that does not ascribe to islamic "values."

Self policing has failed, time for islam to deal with the consequences of its actions. Those who remain "silent" out of fear of repraisal from their fellow muslims are as guilty as those who commit the acts of terrorism IMO.

Excellent article, but I have to say that it took him a whole lot of words to get to “divide and conquer.”

in responding to terrorists "we should invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity." Ann Coulter was right.

Read the Koran. The Hadith. Their holy books. It is a cult of death. There is no middle ground. Civilization will win, or we will all be fighting the "religion of peace" until they win.

The Koran:

Sura (2:191-193) - "And slay them wherever ye find them, and drive them out of the places whence they drove you out, for persecution of Muslims is worse than slaughter of non-believers...and fight them until persecution is no more, and religion is for Allah."

Sura (4:74) - "Let those fight in the way of Allah who sell the life of this world for the other. Whoso fighteth in the way of Allah, be he slain or be he victorious, on him We shall bestow a vast reward."

Sura (4:76) - "Those who believe fight in the cause of Allah…"

Sura (5:33) - "The punishment of those who wage war against Allah and His messenger and strive to make mischief in the land is only this, that they should be murdered or crucified or their hands and their feet should be cut off on opposite sides or they should be imprisoned; this shall be as a disgrace for them in this world, and in the hereafter they shall have a grievous chastisement"

Sura (8:12) - "I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them"

Sura (8:39) - "And fight with them until there is no more persecution and religion should be only for Allah"

Sura (8:57) - "If thou comest on them in the war, deal with them so as to strike fear in those who are behind them, that haply they may remember."

Sura (9:14) - "Fight them, Allah will punish them by your hands and bring them to disgrace..."

Sura (9:29) - "Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Messenger, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, even if they are of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued."

Sura (9:30) - "And the Jews say: Ezra is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!"

Sura (9:123) - "O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness."

Sura (47:4) - "So when you meet in battle those who disbelieve, then smite the necks until when you have overcome them, then make them prisoners,"

Sura (61:4) - "Surely Allah loves those who fight in His way"

Sura (66:9) - "O Prophet! Strive against the disbelievers and the hypocrites, and be stern with them. Hell will be their home, a hapless journey's end

From the Hadith:

Muslim (1:33) - the Messenger of Allah said: I have been commanded to fight against people till they testify that there is no god but Allah, that Muhammad is the messenger of Allah

Bukhari (8:387) - Allah's Apostle said, “I have been ordered to fight the people till they say: 'None has the right to be worshipped but Allah’”

Tabari 7:97 The morning after the murder of Ashraf, the Prophet declared, "Kill any Jew who falls under your power."

Ibn Ishaq: 327 - “Allah said, ‘A prophet must slaughter before collecting captives. A slaughtered enemy is driven from the land. Muhammad, you craved the desires of this world, its goods and the ransom captives would bring. But Allah desires killing them to manifest the religion.’”

Ibn Ishaq: 992 - "Fight everyone in the way of Allah and kill those who disbelieve in Allah."

The Koran and hadiths are replete with examples of Muhammad's barbaric behavior. Robert Spencer does a good job here explaining Islam - Blogging the Qur’an Start at the bottom.

It's a huge question - here's one small answer to part of it.

Push the idea that "muhammed was right" when he complained that it was an evil spirit who told him about islam.

And that his woman wife was wrong when she comforted him that it wasn't.

What is to be done about islam? Well, as a start, we need to remove the muslim usurper currently holding the oval office hostage.

There are 1.3 billion møøselimbs on the planet.

Our very survival requires that we kill n møøselimbs. Where n is a number between 0 and 1.3 billion. It is defined as the number necessary to kill for the remainder, 1,300,000,000-n to forswear violence as a means of religious debate.

WE don’t set the value of n.

THEY set the value of n...

In less mathematical terms:

We need to break the will of militant islam. This is something 1300+ years of bloody conflict with civilization under varying degrees of Queensberry rules has failed to do.

We need to kill enough of their people and break enough of their stuff that the rest decide that murdering or enslaving everyone who isn’t muslim enough isn’t a good idea.

Since this is the #1 core value of their faith, this may end up being all of them.

And yes, although I would much prefer that they forswear violence as their holiest sacrament, I’m quite OK with eliminating all who will not.

It would be extremely beneficial if everyone running for public office, whether city, county, parish, state, or federal, was required to read this article.

I’ll preface my comments by saying this:
Here on FR there are routinely posted threads about guns and self-defense.
The conflict between The West and Islam is analogous to a home invasion in the middle of the night. What would you do and why would you do it?

The article asks: “ISLAM: What Is To Be Done?”

Those in The West who have seen the truths of Islam KNOW “what must be done”, but are afraid to say what they understand.

What must be done seems diametrically opposed to all the tenets that we of The West have been taught both secularly and religiously.

Actually, what must be done _is_ opposed to those tenets and beliefs — and that is why The West, at least at this point in time, cannot look directly at the face of Islam with the realization what we must do to survive.

And it _IS_ “survival” that cuts to the core of this understanding.

The struggle we are faced with is existential, and nothing less.

Another very interesting article by a Danish psychologist:

http://frontpagemag.com/2010/05/05/among-criminal-muslims/

Of course the problem is Islam (just like illegal aliens) is being used by those who would destroy the US, its freedom, its culture, its economy, and its middle class:

I think Bush and Company’s intentions in Iraq were honorable but horribly misguided. As the speaker points out, to commit troops on foreign soil in a war against Muslims without having the slightest idea that the real enemy is Islam is the height of folly.

It was not only folly in terms of foreign policy (it strengthened Iran, it actually transformed a more secular society into a more Islamic one) but it was a major failure in terms of American politics. It pushed many voters into the arms of the democrats, who have since gone on to destroy our country.

But to me, the biggest failure of the Iraq policy is tied in with the failure to secure the border. Bush said we went to Iraq primarily for reasons of national security... and then he did nothing to secure the border. If you’re going to leave the border wide open, then the foreign wars you commit in the name of security are essentially meaningless. It reminds me a bit of the scene in Little Big Man where the Indian warriors went out to fight the calvary and the calvary came in behind them and slaughtered all the women, children and old people in the Indian camp.

After 9/11 Bush had the whole country behind him. He went to Afghanistan, and still had most of the country behind him. He went to Iraq and tore America in two. And in the process he removed an Iraqi dictator who, if nothing else, was a counter-weight to Iran and, by the way, was a secular dictator.

I think we had the best of all possible worlds in pre-invasion Iraq. We controlled the skies, we had them pinned down and they (the Sunnis) in their turn had the Shia under lock and key. Now all that’s blown apart and Iran is involved in a way it never would have been without the Bush invasion and Iraq is just another hateful Muslim country (what else could it be) where women are in chains and Christians are forced to emigrate. All in the name of American national security — while our own borders are open to a continuing invasion — and at the price of thousands of loyal American dead and tens of thousands of loyal Americans maimed for life.

It was bad policy, poorly conceived, poorly thought out, and, as the article points out, more coordinated by a pack of Shia liars like Chalibi than by any clear thinking done on the American side. Bush, Cheney and the whole neo-con crew were led around by the nose by lying scumbags like Chalibi and they ended up, essentially, putting a Muslim in the White House.

algernonpj, I read the first article you posted -- Among Criminal Muslims -- but haven't gotten to the second one yet. The first is profoundly disturbing and obviously true. I strongly recommend it to everyone here. Thanks for posting it.

I particularly like this advice from the Danish psychologist:

Responsible lovers and protectors of our Western culture should make an effort to write letters to the editors, and internet bloggers have to make sure that the information that our main stream medias consciously avoid to publish gets known.
