RE :”
PALIN: ...And then you dont start talking about amnesty, either, kind of as this last-minute, Oh, anybody whos here in the country right now, were going to provide you amnesty, and even though youve broken the law and we are a nation of laws, youve broken that, well still give you because then theres going to be a huge influx of those wanting kind of at the last minute to come over the border because they know that they will forever then receive that amnesty. So you dont start talking about that, but the very first thing you do is physically, literally secure those borders.”
I saw this (her) clip on FNC when it was originally aired. I listened closely and what she said was “You don't talk about amnesty now because it will just make the problem worse”. What she never said was “We can never grant amnesty because...” . Given her position (with McCain) in 2008 for amnesty, and her support of McCain now and Republican history, conservatives have a duty to be very skeptical of careful wordage coming from her.
But as I said : Sarah Palin was 100% supportive of Arizona law and Brewer from the beginning and deserves credit for it.

First, he gives her a difficult question and keeps interrupting her in mid-sentence. Ahh lets see here.....!
First he asked a question that has no one word answer then he talks over his guest be it he or she.....so what's new?
He then brings on a weak defender and a basher and lets them go at it for five minutes until he acts like he is regaining control, talks over them and shuts everyone up while he closes out the segment and advertises the next one.
This has been his shtick for some 11 years, and he honed it when he hosted that Magazine show on ABC.
I saw nothing tonight that was unusual, and Sarah did as well as most but could have been better prepped if she plans to do any more of this.

Palin: No, I do not. Palin: No, I do not. I do not. Not total amnesty.
Funny how that last euphemistic evasion always disappears from the quote.

Hope you don't get flamed. I'm happy with Sarah the way she is, but if others perceive what you do I'm sure she'll address that.

Dance dance dance....
Talk about pathetic.....you cant even back anyone until they make the primary...
So if Palin gets in the race...and wins the nom...you will stay home?
The fact is...on the date she keeps throwing up “May 27 2010”...Mclame is against amnesty...a position which palin supports...
If you are going to take useless potshots...you can at least be honest about it...

As I said, there are probably several reasons McCain has changed his stance on amnesty:
1. His reelection (obviously)
2. Greater nationwide opposition
3. Perhaps seeing how the situation has deteriorated in Arizona in the past three years (Mexican Mafia, murders, kidnappings, etc.) have had an effect
