Yet, officials say the number of websites is constantly changing since many of the sites and forums are not maintained, with current estimates indicating as many as 10,000 active sites.
The FBI analysis noted that about 80 percent of those sites existed on U.S.-based computer servers."

You would have to be somewhat naive to believe that all these sites are not either run or heavily infiltrated by US security agencies. They probably get plenty of leads to investigate from these sites.
All MY posts and threads are backed up by source urls ct libertarian.
Do you have a source url for your opinion?
I’m not naive and if you ask the jihadis in prison right now who were jihad forum users; they can verify that they were not with/connected to “US security agencies.”
Do authorities get leads from some of the web sites?
OPINION: Of course, why not — it’s public postings on the internet.
Well, the obvious thing to do, if you are one of the hundreds of thousands US anti-terror bureaucrats, is to set up a honeytrap website and see who shows up.
I am glad to see the guys who were busted don’t know how they were busted. A little paranoia never hurts, and while we are not as good at infiltration and false-flag games as we were with the Soviets, maybe some of the old skills are coming back.

Forums such as al-falojah, al-boraq, etc IMHO carry no actionable intel. al-Hesbah is a different story. I’ve managed to get in there a few times, but I’m always banned before I can get anything good.
Would you like to know how to stop this self-radicalization once and for all?
Would you care to listen to someone with over twenty years of real world experience and someone who predicted that this would happen?
Would you care to listen to someone delineate exactly how this self-radicalization can be stopped?
Would you like to know why it is getting worse and why it is going to bring about the next 9/11?

So there it is. Shrug it off if you want, continue to spend millions and millions of taxpayer dollars doing it your own way which has not worked or for once listen to someone with real world experience and not virtual experience.
