America Is at Risk of Boiling Over
WSJ ^ | 8/6/10 | Peggy Noonan

Posted on 08/05/2010 9:19:50 PM PDT by Kartographer

But do our political leaders have any sense of what people are feeling deep down? They don't act as if they do. I think their detachment from how normal people think is more dangerous and disturbing than it has been in the past. I started noticing in the 1980s, the growing gulf between the country's thought leaders, as they're called—the political and media class, the universities—and those living what for lack of a better word we'll call normal lives on the ground in America. The two groups were agitated by different things, concerned about different things, had different focuses, different world views.

Promising title and start, but she still doesn’t get it.

What point does Peggy Noonan EVER make?

She is a useless, naval-gazing whiner. At what point was she ever a Conservative?

Right. Peggy still doesn’t get it, or else if she does she isn’t telling it like it is. Has she EVER entertained even 10% of Glenn Beck videos and direct quotes from this administration and their plans for the “transformation”?
Yes, something is up and the old media is as out of the loop as our representatives.

I’m starting to believe we’re going to get out of this through the soap and ballot boxes. Missouri was HUGE: A state that went 49/49 between mclame/obama repudiated obama by 71/29. That’s a HUGE shift.

Will we see more racists killing of “crackers” ie white people thanks to obama’s and holder’s racist attitudes? Probably. BTW, conservative blacks are at least as much in the racists’ cross hairs as whites. Watch your backs and theirs.

Will obama continue to push his marxist agenda? Yup. But barring MASSIVE voter fraud, November is going to be a mass repudiation of obama’s marxism.

Some fear the acts of a lame duck congress. I don’t. They know better.

Now, if the obamabots try Black Panther style voter intimidation or Chicago style voter fraud on a mass scale, then all bets are off. And sadly, there is a small but real chance they will. (I know, they say the same things about us, but that’s called “projection.”)

That said, I’m starting to think we’re going to get through this. Painfully? Sure. But (literally) by the Grace of God, nowhere near as bad as I once feared.

Bonus: Think it is becoming clear that most Americans aren’t nearly as godless as the “Ruling Class.” They haven’t left Him, and He never leaves anyone. Now the “Ruling Class” has definitely left Him. That NEVER ends well...

Peggy is part of the problem, yet she doesn’t admit that her undying love for all things Obama has been her undoing. She is nothing. She needs to perfrom some political repentence before I will care waht she has to say.

Nice image, but per traditional flag etiquette, no images, words, or modifications should be made, or added to Old Glory.

Evidence?

The only thing those morons now in Washington know how to do is double down--they're example #1 of Einstein's definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result.

Didn't work? DO MORE OF IT!

I had a Hispanic coworker ask me out of the blue today “are there any Tea Party’s around here?”

I said yes. He asked me about them wanting to get involved.
He said he used to be fairly complacent about voting, but that he was sick of this ****

The Obama-loving, Sarah-hating Peggy thinks the media, political, and university world are our “thought leaders”,,,, and grimaces as she struggles to call us “normal”.

The crap starts to end in november,, i cannot WAIT to see them tremble in fear at what happens.

Such modified flags were fairly standard during the First American Civil War so why not for the coming second?

Peggy Noonan gets these Big Ideas for articles but she always goes to the same place—we have to be nice and TALK to each other.

After reading that ten thousand times you want to tell her to get out in the country and get her hands dirty, maybe work in flyover country for awhile, because she’s getting despairingly precious with her “Can’t we all just get along?” piffle. I’m sure she gets loving emails from her society friends, but it’s all a lot of nothing—I can’t recall the last time someone forwarded one of her columns to me, if they ever did.

...Will we see more racists killing of “crackers” ie white people thanks to obama’s and holder’s racist attitudes? Probably. BTW, conservative blacks are at least as much in the racists’ cross hairs as whites. Watch your backs and theirs.

He really hates old white people because most are smarter than younger white people. If you criticize Obama, you're 'racist.' I don't care if Obama is green and purple -- he's still a socialist. Don't call me 'racist,' call me 'anti-socalist.'

If you oppose quotas, you're 'racist.' If you say that there are differences among groups, you're 'racist.' If you want English to be the national language, you're 'racist.' The word 'racist' has become meaningless, used only to stifle conservatives from speaking certain truths. If someone calls you a racist, they are race-baiting. They are being racist. Call them on it.

Racist means white. They call you racist if you are white, and that's all that is meant by it. Ask them why they support a third-world socialist agenda.

Tell them you are against Progressive Democrats, who continually play the race card, deliberately, with nothing but political gain in mind. Tell them you are against Anti-American Americans. But by speaking certain truths you are not going to change anything in the mind of a fool liberal, or the mainstream media or the NAACP.

They call black conservatives 'sellouts,' traitors and 'Uncle Toms'. That's because the label 'racist' is reserved for whites. All whites. If you are white, you are 'racist'. It is simply their way of saying 'the enemy' in this barely disguised war against whites. Don't act surprised at that language!

They are enemies. And this enemy is not interested in listening to logic; they're interested in spouting their propaganda. The term 'racist' is meant to silence whites and is really about wealth and power. The power to confiscate wealth. This goes far, far beyond paying a bit more in taxes. The left wants total control.

Most want entitlement, that's their idea of justice and the result of having been schooled in affirmative action ideology and the 'we wuz slaves' mentality that they will never abandon. So now we know racism is nothing more than a weapon, wielded so all the left can coordinate their attack.

From Karl Marx to today, the left has always hated people on the right. The left's utopian vision is only a few more government programs away from reality. And who stands in the way of such perfection? Conservatives. Conservatives, with their belief in individuals taking care of themselves, not the state, are the enemy. It's all about controlling language and twisting the language. Democrats lie, that's what they do. Their propaganda is invalid and they know it's invalid -- that's the nature of propaganda. They won't yield to facts or reason. Leftists lie through their teeth, and then, when you respond with facts they pout and say: 'You're mean! You're intolerant! What happened to civility?'

So when Joe Wilson shouts 'You lie!' at Barack Obama, we can and should respond: 'Representative Wilson was wrong. Obama lies a lot.'

Marxism does not elevate the status of the poor; it only adds more to the ranks of the poor.

"We must feel comfortable enough with one another, and tolerant enough of each other, to have frank conversations about the racial matters that continue to divide us."
                          -- Eric Holder, Wednesday, February 18, 2009

A true enough statement. We are all Americans. But I give you exhibit 'A'.

President Panther speaks...

Feel comfortable now?

WAKE UP AMERICA!

It is hard to compete with a party that gives away the treasury; the greed of the voters is what is driving the Obama cult.

I could post more examples but a little research and will show that many Union Regimental flags use during the Civil War were such variations and so the flag is not without excepted precedence.

She gets the main point, which is that sealing the borders is necessary, but that our rulers refuse to do what is necessary. The Bushes, the Clintons, and the Obamas all think alike that open borders are good. But the lesson of history is that the “Greatest Generation” was the product of the Immigration acts of the 1920s. Every American born after 1900 reached adulthood in a world that was
culturally more and more homogeneous and his own children spoke English as his first language. It was their children who formed the Greatest Generation and their grandchildren who were the Boomers. The Immigation Act of 1965 ignored the success of restriction. and let down the barriers. We are now reaping the evil consequences.
