Four (4) North Koreans attempted to sneak into the USA from Mexico our southern border, but were apprehended.
The four necessarily are intelligence operatives, for NO North Korean citizens travel freely or without the sanction and close watch and instruction of the Korean Workers Party and the intelligence apparatus of North Korea; only diplomats and those under control of the KWP are allowed overseas travel, passports (in this case to get to Mexico), etc..
North Korean refugees fleeing Kimilsungist Communism are processed through normal diplomatic and refugee channels.
Why has this not been a top issue? What were they attempting to achieve? Where were they heading? What networks did they use to get as far as US soil (Arizona)? Were they heading for one of our nuclear lab facilities? Do they have compatriots who have made it into the US and are in the Korean community or otherwise operating actively?
(Report covers the FY2007-2009 period).
Ping!
homeland security..not telling how many didnt get caught.
What gave them away?
But they told us our southern border has never been safer?
Thats true! it has never been safer.
There are new crossings that are completely ADA compliant, with a minimum of 1 foot/candle lighting, slip resistant stair treads and comfort stations every 1000 yards. S/
Why knock on the front door when the back door is wide open?
Only our “Kimchi sniffer dogs” know for sure.
Also, obviously, by their appearance, once captured, it was clear they were not Latino, but Asian.
And as somebody else said, no telling how many GOT THROUGH. These were just he ones caught!
My guess is that for at least every 1 caught, 10 have gotten through, at the very least, so you could conceivably have 40 active North Korean agents in the United States (outside of those attached to the DPRK Mission in the UN in New York) carrying out espionage or possibly sabotage or waiting for orders to engage in terrorism. My general estimate would be a higher figure. Either way, as a nation, we are porous. The DPRK are not.
Alas, if they are trained to sniff for “tree bark” that will give less false positives!
They can always stop in for drinks at one of the 5 million PLA front companies :)
Why are they coming here? I thought all the cabinet positions and czar posts were filled....
they are on a hunt-they came here to find more sources of ginseng ‘cause their country ran out trying to pay their debt to Czechoslovakia/s-—oh yeah the Bamster Admin has given free reign on borders & “can’t frikkin’ fix it-this is what we are now dealing with...next thing ya’ know they’ll be over @ Lowe’s or Home Depot buying shite to make a dirty bomb

We're they paying off the corrupt Mexican government?
Thank you for the post! I suggest everyone go to the link, and look at the 4 pages of those who have been caught.
It’s bad enough that NK intelligence was among them. But, just look at those from other countries...not just islamic countries...but Cuba, Venezuela, and countries of that ilk...who have been caught.
Granted, they might have been tryng to escape their countries...but, then again...maybe not.
Actually, they were probably "ratted out" by their Mexican mules. Our security, sadly, relies on Mexican cartels and their corrupt government realizing that if terrorists who passed through Mexico pull off a major caper, the border will be hermetically sealed.
lol....

We're do you get that?
After 911 more people entered this country illegally in the 5 years following, than any other period.
((During wartime))
It's so bad after 911, Bush's Homeland Security Chief Chertoff, was found to have people wandering around his private residence, that were in this country illegally. ((Again, during wartime))
