Turin, 27 August(AKI) - A 19-year-old Moroccan woman suffered second and third degree burns over 20 percent over her body following an late Thursday in the northern industrial city of Turin when attackers threw acid over her.
According to a police official, at around 9:00 pm Hasna Beniliha was approached from behind by a man who poured the contents of a bottle on her before escaping on foot.
Another three people who were standing near the victim were treated for burns from drops of the acid and released early from hospital.
The police official said investigators are working on the hypothesis of that the attack was a crime of passion.
Moroccans are among Italy's largest immigrant communities.
Apparently this is a pretty common occurrence from Moroccan men toward their women. The current theory is that this was either a "rejected suitor" or a "former boyfriend." They should have a better idea once they have brought the girl out of the induced coma they currently have her in.
Gotta love that religion of peace.

Might have to start packin my hornet nest pest control when traveling to the big city.
I don’t know if the state of Washington and Arizona attacks are related.
I am watching for updates.

SNIPPET: “VANCOUVER — An investigation indicated that the reported acid attack on Bethany Storro was self-inflicted, Vancouver Police said Thursday.
They called the incident a hoax during a press conference. They said the results of the investigation will now be turned over to the county prosecutor’s office.
Chief Clifford Cook said discrepancies started to appear as detectives started to investigate the case.
This morning, police served a search warrant, then interviewed Storro, who said the attack was a self-inflicted hoax.”
