Sharpton had a wet dream once. That about as close as he’s ever been to MLK or his message of peace and unity.
Sharpton’s “I Have a Scream” speech goes over big with his twelve audience members.
I would say Al,his dream was fulfilled today with the out pouring of blacks and whites honoring his name at the Beck Rally the main focus was to get our country back on the right track,no separation of races like you and your crowd wanted..Not the sick perverted moaning you and your crowd does that was not part of MLKâs dream..Get over it demon the end is near..
You wrote that thousands attended Sharpton's rally. You did not report that HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS attended the Beck rally. You even added Sharpton's comments that he did not know what Beck's rally was about, because Beck told them not to take signs. The police/government advised NO SIGNS. Beck listened. Sharpton and his crowd did not.
Sharpton's rally was about hatred, greed, jealousy, and speeches were delivered with hatred and polarizing cliches.
Reporters continue to point out race as a big issue and asked a woman at Beck's rally "How many blacks did she see." I wonder if they asked how many Whites did you see... of anyone at the Sharpton rally which had very few people of any other color than Black.
Beck had a multi-cultural, multi-racial speaker list. As well as a multi racial crowd.
Beck's rally was about God, Love, Brotherhood, Unity, and the need to practice Faith, Hope, and Charity.
Sharpton's rally was hate filled blasts with no thoughts that could even come close to resembling the words and thoughts of Martin Luther King. King was probably rolling over in his grave.
MLK's niece, Dr.Alveda King chose to speak at Beck's rally. Telling, isn't it?
Your attempts to demean the Beck rally by ignoring the truth of it clearly demonstrates your liberal bias. And you are supposed to report, not omit, the news! Shame on you. But I will pray for people like you anyway. Just as Beck and the speakers there today reminded us. Sharpton only prays for his political agenda.
SO SAD THAT HE (AL) DID NOT USE THE MOMENT TO HELP BRING EVERYONE TOGETHER.............HERE’S HOPING AFTER A GOOD NIGHT SLEEP, HE WILL SEE THE LIGHT
His rally had the feeling of a union rally.
I wonder why the WaPo labels Beck as “conservative”, but does not label Sharpton at all. Hmmmm . . . . . .
Really? Does he realize how ignorant he sounds?
Guess what? You can’t honor Dr. King by race-baiting.
Well, they didn't...Beck did.
In fact, if he were still alive with those beliefs, they would excoriate him and call him an "uncle tom" just as they have Clarence Thomas and others.
“Hijacking the Dream” is what Sharpton’s rally should have been called.
