I think you are right on; we HAVE been too browbeaten to do any of the things that free people should be doing -- praying in public, exercising rights, being proud of this country. The left has done an excellent job FOR DECADES at keeping freedom-loving people quiet -- because THEY'RE the experts -- they know best how to govern, how to teach our kids, how to be an American.
But I think a corner has been turned. I think we're in the middle of another Great Awakening and the forces of darkness are going to go nuts now. But let them. The forces of light ALWAYS conquer the darkness -- if enough people carry the light inside them.

Leftist societal engineers can no longer tell we the people that there can be no mingling of religious belief and political empowerment, while deopending upon doing just that to manipuyalte black people in their churches because we the people have these unalienable rights that God grants, not leftist societal engineering pukes like infest the Democrat Party and the elit of the Republican party.

Religion, of course. Not even religious faith, but religion itself, organized religion. Kill that and you control mankind.
I believe Glen Beck is very astute to understand that. Religion — yes, even islam — is what stops world government machinations from advancing. Religion must lose its legitimacy and grip on mankind before The One World Government can succeed. IMO, that is why culture wars have become so virile and incessant in this country.
** Also, as much as I despise the islamists, islam with its sheer intensity of fervor (how can the elites get a toe in; begin to contort it; begin to warp it? Perhaps “western” imams is a piece of that puzzle???) is indeed a big thorn in the side of the world government kingpins.
