Democratic Sen. Barbara Boxer and her Republican opponent Carly Fiorina will square off Wednesday night in the only debate scheduled so far in a race that polls show is a toss up between the two women.

The hour-long event at St. Mary’s College in Moraga begins at 7 p.m. It will be televised on CBS affiliates up and down the state, including on KTTV in Los Angeles. The debate is being sponsored by the San Francisco Chronicle and KQED public radio and will be streamed live on both sponsors’ web sites. C-Span is also televising the forum.

You are correct...Starting to feel my old timers, but remember that he and Helen Gahagan Douglas were both in the house.

Got to remember to fact check before I post.

I’d bet good money that every one of the panelists, the moderator, and most of the guest questioners have voted for Ma’am Boxer in the past, and will vote for her in November. Any criticism they hold for her personally would be that she’s not enacted enough left-wing policies!

The forum is a kangaroo spectacle and it disgusts me that the Republican party and Fiorina would even agree to such a one-sided, hostile format. I can’t stand to watch it ‘cause the whole thing’s a scam. They might as well title the event: “An evening with St. Barbara Boxer with appearances by an Evil Capitalist CEO.”

I didn’t watch the debate but it sounds like Fiorina found the testicles of all the neutered Republicans in the Senate last night.

When I saw someone quoting wiki*****, I felt that I had to check a real source. Two years as a Senator. Half as long as the pres(no id)ent occupier of the White House. But Nixon probably spent more days on the Senate floor.

two years in the senate—and four in the house—so longer in DC than Zero.

For Kalifornia, this would be an accomplishment. One (baby) step at a time...

“It’s just a concept that Boxer and her crew can’t grasp.”

Right, that free enteprise isn’t some completely insidious evil that you should tax to death?

One (baby) step at a time...

That's what they said about Arnold. How's that working for ya?

In my lifetime, I have NEVER seen incrementalism work in any other way than leftward. The reason is simple: Leftist policies produce more leftists. They lead to ultimate disaster. One can go there fast and crash with the Slave Party, or one can go there slowly with the RINOs and conservatives take the blame.

Fiorina is a globalist. She will sign onto every green treaty put in front of her. She is in that most serious respect alone, identical to Boxer. She can pretend to be pro-gun, knowing that members of the government have signed onto the UN Small Arms Treaty, never mind the Inter-American Convention against the Convention on Illicit Manufacturing of and Trafficking in Firearms, Ammunition, Explosives and Other Related Materials.

Who was the last California Senator to fit your description of “A true Constitutional Conservative”?

S.I. Hayakawa.

Your support for giving Barbara Boxer a full 24 years as the Senator is noted.

Perhaps in 2016 you will be ready to vote for her Republican opponent, remind us to ask you.

Nixon was NEVER a senator!

Actually, Nixon defeated Democratic Representative Helen Gahagan Douglas in 1950 to become a senator from California.

“What worries me is that Carly Fiorina ran her company into the ground...”

the company isn’t and wasn’t ever in the ground.

you are repeating a false mantra, advanced by disgruntled employees, and political opponents.

in fact HP outperformed the market and her competitors.

So what? People see through it, and award the win to Fiorina.

She had something to gain, which is come from behind.

I read Boxer would NOW like another debate, realizing she blew this one.

About time that someone has come to Carly Fiorina’s defense. The question of her stewardship at HP is not all black and white as some suggest.

Your support for Arnold in wrecking California is noted. Perhaps after my family has paid off its $16,000 share of the resulting debt, please remind me to forgive you for your stupidity. I warned you.

Which does not refute that you are calling to reelect Barbara Boxer to another six year term.

Show me where I said that liar. All I was pointing out is that there is little substantive difference between Fiorina and Boxer in matters pertaining to a Senator.

I interpreted that post 288 of yours as a cry to not vote for Fiorina.

If you are calling for people to vote for Carly Fiorina for Senator, then I apologize, for misunderstanding you, but you could help by posting a little more clearly also.
