DEMOCRATS PLAN POLITICAL TRIAGE TO RETAIN HOUSE

As Democrats brace for a November wave that threatens their control of the House, party leaders are preparing a brutal triage of their own members in hopes of saving enough seats to keep a slim grip on the majority.

In the next two weeks, Democratic leaders will review new polls and other data that show whether vulnerable incumbents have a path to victory. If not, the party is poised to redirect money to concentrate on trying to protect up to two dozen lawmakers who appear to be in the strongest position to fend off their challengers.

"We are going to have to win these races one by one," said Rep. Chris Van Hollen of Maryland, chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, conceding that the party would ultimately cut loose members who had not gained ground.

With the midterm campaign entering its final two months, Democrats acknowledged that several races could quickly move out of their reach, including re-election bids by Reps. Betsy Markey of Colorado, Tom Perriello of Virginia, Mary Jo Kilroy of Ohio and Frank Kratovil Jr. of Maryland, whose districts were among the 55 Democrats won from Republicans in the last two election cycles.

Reps. John M. Spratt Jr. of South Carolina, chairman of the Budget Committee, and Earl Pomeroy of North Dakota, who is seeking a 10th term, are among senior Democrats who have appeared to gain little ground in the summer months in the toxic political environment. A sputtering

They must think people are even stupider than they are...

You say that is if it's out the realm of possibility.

Would love to see Spratt go down. I’m sure he’d have a major fit in state TV that we could all enjoy for years.

I still remember that night. I was trapped in a place without fox, and forced to watch CNN. The trash can almost made up for it. Here’s hoping for a replay....

I don’t see the R’s getting 67 Senate votes though.

We need to get out the vote ~~~

>>The total list is actually rated as “Toss-Up with a very slight and diminishing bias to the Dems”.

You mean you count illegal aliens, felons, and systematic voter fraud?

Woo Hoo! Once again, Betsy Marxy tops the list of those most likely to be tossed out in a few weeks. Here in good ol’ CO-4, occupying the eastern most 45% of Colorado, me and my kind have been on Betsy’s case for months, and we’re intensifying our efforts. Even sweeter, it now looks like she’ll be the first to be tossed under the bus by her own kind!

Can’t really blame ‘em though; she’s a complete moron. Yeah, yeah, the Obammunists want ‘em to be stupid enough to buy their BS and vote for their Trojan Marxist agenda, but Betsy’s so stupid she’d drown like a domestic turkey would if she got caught outside in a heavy rain. Even for a Rat, that’s overly stupid, since she’s too stupid to manage re-election.

The really cool thing is that her soon-to-be replacement, Cory Gardner, is exactly the kind of young, good-looking, educated, smart, accomplished, principled, and personable kind of conservative that we need to populate the U.S. Congress with. Not just someone to vote for in order to vote against the other candidate, but someone whom you actually want to vote for because they’ll make an excellent Congressional representative!

"“Blue Dogs” are worse than useful idiots -— they are lying frauds who deceive gullible voters into (in effect) supporting the Pelosicrat/Obama agenda."

Yes, indeed! Just like Betsy "Blue Dog" Marxey, the poor little stuck-on-stupid girl who got bought a congressional seat for two years.

As far as Betsy's latter-day conversion to Blue Dogism goes, well, Betsy’s no Blue Dog, she’s just a plain ol’ Dog!

I think at this point, there is little that can stop this overloaded freight train.

I've said this before, and I'll say it again. The GOP must be on the alert for cheating and fraud in the election process, which can manifest in a number of different ways. The national GOP must have a vastly improved anti-fraud program in place, made available to the party organizations at the state and local levels and to each GOP candidate's campaign. Remember that the closer an election, the more easily it can be stolen, especially in states where Democrat officials are supervising the elections.

Are you listening, Michael Steele?

Cheating, fraud and/or postponing/canceling the election would be a cause for CV II.

The House communists aren’t coming out of the 0trauma center unless we let them.

“She called out to Democrats who were delinquent on paying their party dues and instructed members with no re-election worries to tap into a combined $218 million from their campaign accounts to help save their majority.

“We need to know your commitment,” Pelosi wrote to lawmakers last week in a private letter, demanding that they call her within 72 hours to explain how they plan to help. “

There ya go .. the ole dem money pot awaits. Pelosi or Van Hollen or both are probably co-signers on every single account.

I put one “V” instead of a double “V” that translates to a “W.”

It is an open question whether voters will find the back-and-forth exchanges persuasive or whether some have reached the point where they are no longer listening to Democratic messages.

I wonder how different these tactics are from ‘94 ______________________________________________________________ From what I've read & heard, the difference is that in '94 the Dems had no warning it was coming; this year they do.

I hope you’re right but this is one that might “surprise” the GOP. I’ll believe it when I see it and if it happens, you will hear me shout all the way from SE Texas.
