John Podesta predicts White House 'soul-searching'

By: Andy Barr September 7, 2010 11:55 AM EDT

John Podesta, the president of the Center for American Progress and leader of Barack Obama’s presidential transition team, expects to see some “soul-searching” and “changes” in the White House after November’s election.

With Democrats expected to lose dozens of seats in the midterms – and possibly control of Congress – Podesta believes Obama will have make changes to adapt to the new political environment.

“After November you'll see some soul-searching and some changes particularly in the way that he's talked to the American people and really communicated particularly I think with the business community,” Podesta said Tuesday morning on MSNBC.

“You'll see I think at least a willingness to kind of listen to ideas to move forward with people,” he added. “And you know, I think that the president does level with people. He's pretty straight-forward about what he thinks works, what he thinks doesn't.”

Two Problems with that:

1. 0bama (aka the antiCHRIST) has no soul to search; and

2. He is "the one" (egotistical bastard), so he must be right (everyone else is wrong).

The term soul searching implies they are lost. I don't believe these people are lost at all, they are not stupid and neither are their ONE WORLDER masters. The major policies to do the greatest damage to this country are in place. That's not to say they would not have done more damage to our republic be they have done enough to affect us for years if not decades. They knew and they are content in the extent of their destruction, kind of like a Muslim suicide bomber.

I will go so far to say that there is a 40% chance that he won’t even run for re-election in 2012.

Heck, the Democrats aren't even going to nominate him for another run, after the disaster he's become.

If he even makes it to the finish line of his term, he'll issue some statement (ala LBJ) that, "I will not seek, nor will I accept my party's nomination for a second term."

That would require having a soul.

"Do Democrats have a chance of holding on to the majority in the House?"

Of course. There’s still time. 43%

Do these people eat delusion pills for breakfast?

HUH? he does not talk or answer questions or put congress committees on C span.. or many of the other numerous things he promised.. I BET that if the Republicans take the congress we will suddenly see meetings on c span...trying to pressure them or embarrass them

Too late.

His “they talk like I’m a dog” whine just took things way, way over the top, to the land of no political return.

The time for Obama to listen was when hundreds of thousands of Americans actually traveled to D.C. to stand outside our house and yell that they did not want Obamacare.

When he didn’t listen to them at that time, it was over for this administration.

Exactly.

There have been MANY events that required “soul-searching” on the part of this President and his staff — and it has NEVER happened.

It was always, “double-down,” “get in their face,” “if they bring a knife, we’ll bring a gun.”

Get real, Podesta. Saying the President will finally start soul-searching AFTER the Nov election means only this:

1. The president is too obstinate to accept that what is going to happen in November is going to happen — IOW, he has to wait until he actually “gets caught” before he’ll think about changing his behavior; or

2. Obama has some sort of a mental problem where he really cannot “connect the political dots” like everyone else can, so he actually believes that the polls and the mood of the country don’t mean what everyone else thinks they mean.
