I am a Red Sox fan, trust me, being up 11 in 1978 meant crap. Ask Bucky Dent.

My condolences ... well, maybe not (/grin) ... but otherwise yer right -- always play as if you are 11 games behind rather than 11 games up --

Or one of my faves: If you come to play, then play to win. If you don't play to win, then don't come to play.

I hope Morris goes down in history for his accuracy.

Thanks for the info. Most are too close for comfort IMO, but considering I’m not sure how reliable those specific projections are, I am cautiously optimistic ;)

I suppose they fear having high hopes shot down by voter fraud.

Notice the careful avoidance of the "f" word by the "Republican insiders" quoted in the article. They talk instead about Democrats "rallying their troops" to "bring them home" in final weeks of the campaign. You would have to think that at least some of those "troops" are no longer among the living. The GOP had better be prepared to counteract the fraud as best as possible if large gains are to be be made.

"I think it's about even," says a strategist involved in the GOP effort.
A strategist who wanted to remain nameless for no apparent reason, IOW, this is another "article" all about trying to depress Pubbie turnout by making it look impossible that the lead is so large. Thanks jerry557.

The voting in the GOP primaries, for the first time since the 1930's surpassed that of the Democrats.

This is going to be a massive shift of power on all levels.

Now they’re calling it GOP insiders instead of the usual anonymous sources. geez, what BS.

Rasmussen is the most accurate pollster out there and a 10 point lead in the generic ballot spells big trouble for the libtards.

Good point! Also, there are a lot of whores in the GOP camp who don’t want uppity Tea Partiers getting influence. David Gergen was a GOP strategist. Pfftt!

The GOP is thoroughly infiltrated with leftists. Posing as conservatives, they undermine the country and give aid and comfort to the domestic enemy. If any of our elected officials so much as looks left before he crosses the street, we should get rid of him ASAP. Anyone who campaigns right and then lurches left on even a single issue should be recalled or impeached immediately.

Insane, marxist judicial decisions should be appealed and appealed until the case is adjudicated in the light of the Constitution and not some senseless "precedent."

All of zer0's appointments should be watched with a magnifying glass, and impeached if they run roughshod over our rights and the American way of life, which they were put in place to do. They should be made to fear for their careers if they keep pulling these judicial stunts.

</sigh... dream on, TheOldLady>

I think this is all about $$$. Look at it this way, if the election is a done deal, with a huge Republican advantage, then why contribute?

Ah, but if it’s razor close, well, keep sending the money!

The “GOP” has good reason to be concerned. I expect the “GOP” will pick up only 5 or so seats by riding on the coat-tails of the Conservative wave.

Biggest losers in November: RINOs

And they’ll do everything they can to spoil a Conservative victory. I expect over the next two years, our hardest battles are going to be against RINOs, not Dems. Or, rather, RINOs AND Dems.
