GOP foe casts Pelosi as 'Wicked Witch' By: Kasie Hunt September 13, 2010 05:50 PM EDT
Ding, dong, the Speaker of the House is dead in her opponents web ad, anyway.
California Republican congressional candidate John Dennis is out with a new ad portraying Nancy Pelosi as The Wizard of Ozs Wicked Witch of the West, the green-skinned villain from the classic 1939 film.
But instead of the ruby-slippered Dorothy saving the day, its Dennis a businessman challenging the speaker for her solidly Democratic San Francisco congressional seat who steps in to rescue the Kansas girl and her friends, the lion, scarecrow and tin man.
Thank you for saving us! Who are you? the actress playing Dorothy cries after Dennis douses Pelosi with water from a bucket labeled freedom and she melts.
Im John Dennis. I believe its time to throw a little water on politicians who say one thing and do another, like Nancy Pelosi, Dennis says.
Dennis is an antiwar, anti-Washington candidate backed by Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul. He won the Republican nomination in June and drew little notice until his ad went viral on Monday.
The ad left Pelosis campaign nonplussed. How silly. Lions, and tigers, and bears? Oh, my! Pelosi spokeswoman Jennifer Crider said, laughing.
Plenty of Internet denizens have already labeled Pelosi as the wicked witch shoppers can purchase T-shirts and calendars featuring Pelosis photo and the phrase Ill get you, my pretty! but its the first time a GOP congressional nominee has produced campaign material with the theme.

Amusement that has legs.
The ad is a hoot!
The little people got rid of that wicked witch when the house caved in on her!
All you witches out there don’t take offense, it’s just a joke. ; )
Very amusing!
Are you sure that the word “witch” was spelled correctly? I thought it had a “B” in it.
Hehehehehe...that’s exactly what I was thinking too!!
He was too young to renounce his citizenship. I wonder if Obummer was adopted by Mr. Soetoro.
This ad made me laugh really loud.
Saw it on Fox. Anybody have a link to the ad video? YouTube?
Found it thanks
