Christine O'Donnell Must Be Punished! (Outstanding Rant Alert)
TownHall ^ | September 16, 2010 | Rebecca Hagelin

Posted on 09/16/2010 5:42:44 AM PDT by Zakeet

Karl Rove's message is clear in the wake of his losing battle to protect his establishment power: Anyone who dares to challenge the Good 'Ole Boys Club will be punished - even if it means handing a senate seat to a liberal democrat.

In the wake of Rove's diatribe against Christine O'Donnell, the Republican party leaders scrambled and may be supporting her after all. We'll see how - and if - they actually do it.

But Rove's remarks after O'Donnell's upset victory over moderate-to-liberal Castle made it painfully clear that the GOP establishment first and foremost seeks to protect and preserve the GOP establishment at any cost. There has never been a more effective or more hungry power broker in Washington, DC than Karl Rove - and the rising tide of red-blooded Americans like the tea party activists and Christine O'Donnell have revealed what many have come to believe for a long time: The power brokers want to run the country. They want to protect their power. They think they are omnipotent and omniscient. And they will damn anyone who dares to challenge them.

There are two things that must be defeated in November: Big government advocates and power hungry operatives - no matter which party they fall into. Sadly, many Republican incumbents and long-time strategists fall into both camps.

The Christine O'Donnell/tea party phenomenon is an uprising of the people. Karl Rove still doesn't get it. He thinks the war is about Republicans versus Democrats. What he still fails to see is that the war is over anyone in the Good 'Ole Boys Club that believes they are the ultimate king-makers; that they get to run the country because they want to; that they are smarter than everyone else. That only they deserve to hold the reins of power over all of our lives. And, of course, it is also fundamentally about failed liberal, unconstitutional, big-government wolves - no matter what party clothing they wear.

So it took Christine 12 years to pay off her college debt. Welcome to the real world, Karl. You may be a person of personal privilege and wealth, but most Americans are not. Millions of students will spend years and years paying off college loans because that's the only way they could have gone to college in the first place. Wake up and see America, Karl.

So you want to make an issue out of the fact that the IRS went after Christine - but you fail to mention, oops, that the IRS later admitted they had made an error. Welcome to the real world, Karl. Countless decent Americans are hounded by the IRS every year. Have you forgotten the painful congressional testimonies several years ago by honest, hard-working Americans who were nearly destroyed by mistakes of the Internal Revenue Service? Or did you never really care?

Americans are sick and tired of the big government programs that you advocate. We haven't forgotten that you were the "architect" of the Medicare?aMedicaid expansion that saw the biggest government growth in decades and that is now strangling all of us and threatens to totally bankrupt this great country. We haven't forgotten that you and Teddy Kennedy's staff were the "architects" of the proposed massive amnesty for illegal immigrants program, that, thank God, failed.

You say Christine O'Donnell and her like aren't going to win in November, because you don't want them to win. You have shown that your true intent is to hang on to power - to keep the here-to-now impenetrable establishment party system from being invaded by those you think are unworthy. Yes, you have advocated some very good policies, Karl. But it seems now that you are more concerned with protecting your "system" than you are with protecting the Constitution or the system of government that our Founding Fathers designed. Quite frankly, their architecture is superior to yours.

I've got big news: the Good 'Ole Boys on both sides of the aisle are going down. The red-blooded, hard-working Americans of both parties have had enough. We want our government back. We want our financial freedoms restored. As you seek to destroy Christine O'Donnell and the tea party movement across the country, it's time to realize that your era is over. Yes, you still control the establishment purse strings, and you and your cronies have now made it very difficult for Christine and others like her across the country to win. But win we must. Because America belongs to the people - not to a handful of back-slapping, "architects" who care more about their kingdoms than they do about liberty.

Rove is all done. He's still twitching and making noises, but the EMT's have already moved on to others who still have a chance of survival. Karl has had a full life, it's time for the ice floe.

Most lawsuits suing for damages are done with a template. It’s not like she said “I want X” and poof, that’s it.

But let’s say it’s worst case and she just wanted the money. Stacked against Mike Castle’s record, there’s no question of who I’d vote for.

“Paladino is unfit. I mean his daddy wasn’t a governor.”

You have it right. I will never vote for a child of a politician in a primary. They almost all have a sense of entitlement and secretly long for a monarch so they can be lord or a lady so and so.

MSNBC daily talked about having Rove arrested as they hated him (the Plane-Wilson-Cheney-Libby-Rove investigation) ;
= = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
Nothing new with this kind of behavior.

Remember how they vilified Nancy Reagan for ‘her’ 8 years and continued after they left.
When O North was running for Senate, Nancy had a ‘Newt’s Mom’ moment and opined something along the lines that “Ollie is NOT the one” and the press ran with that one line amongst many to show Ollie wasn’t the choice of the Reagan’s...

We must remember, Bush One begot us Clinton and Bush Two begot us Obama and a common link was Rove.

It’s not just answering, it’s turning the end of the answer into an offensive dem-Obama attack.

This is a terrific piece!

It has crystalized for me this week that the pundits and much of the GOP leadership have simply been spouting what we’ve wanted to hear for years. It dawned on me the only time they mention the ideals we believe in like lower taxes or less government is when it’s co-incidental to their OWN goals which are unrelated to ours. The crony capitalism they feed on is the evil twin of the whole labor union scheme on the other side.

It isn’t because they know and understand that capitalism is the healthiest market condition for promoting FREEDOM and liberty and that it is a self-disciplining venture that will of necessity weed out corruption and bad companies over time. They don’t give a damn about the people’s liberty or freedom. Like the left- they give a damn about their power and positions from which they wield it against us. “Lower taxes” and “less regulation” mean one thing to US...and another thing altogether to them.

This is an awkening for me and I guess more than a few others. I understood there was a power structure in D.C. fed by money and promises of more power and money...but watching the treatment of O’Donnell, Angle and the others by the GOP elite has been a real eye-opener for me.

My respect for Rove and Dr. K has evaporated. It’s a tough thing to see men who I trusted to be straightforward are in reality utterly BLIND to the truth of what’s going on in this country.

When Dick Morris has greater insight than Rove and delivers it as honestly as he’s able- you know something’s up..

“Karl Rove still doesn’t get it. He thinks the war is about Republicans versus Democrats”

He does get it because that is the game, and those are the rules! We aren’t having a conservative American beauty pageant.

Will you feel the same even if we lose and nothing gets changed? Seriously. Unless the majority of voters in the district will vote for her come election time, and we lose, after November elections the people will be standing around saying, “what happened?” Like when Clinton won. I couldn’t imagine the sheeple voting for him TWICE, but they did, and, Oh LORD, they elected Obama! The main stream media is still in control here! This is the system of politics and unless we get the majority of Americans to see that they have been duped into electing and employing marxists for the last 100 years it will all be for naught. This is actually a spiritual war for hearts and minds and the soul of America, not a war against taxes.

That is why Sarah Palin is so important, and maybe Christine O’Donnell. If they can show the truth and witness to the souls of God’s people He may just give us the revival we need to take America back to what made her great in the first place. Her faith in the One True God and in the Declaration and in the Constitution written by men who knew the laws of God and the underlying principles upon which those laws were given even if they didn’t all live by them at home.

It’s like marketing. Making the people think they need whatever it is. That’s all it is. If the people of her district will elect O’Donnell then you are all correct in saying that Rove is wrong. But will O’Donnell win the general election? Will she? Or will the true conservatives be like Ralph Nader?

I think it’s time for an Esther type 3 days of praying and no food (real fasting) over the condition of this nation. This is a spiritual war and needs to be fought that way. If we do get one going, please include the military in your prayers. Hear me Sarah?

“This is a terrific piece!”

So is yours! I hate to sound too much like a populist here..but moneyed interests and crony capitalists are helping to destroy our country just as much as the unions and politicians. Your observations are spot on. Bottom line...they still need our votes to win! let’s make sure we give our votes to the folks that will truly put our country on the right track.

It was an aid that said something, he left the campaign, Christine never said it, except in discussing the accusation that SHE said it.

Just read a similar explanation on another thread. Thanks for the feedback.

you don’t seem to understand. i am not debating the fact that o’donnell is a more desirable candidate than castle. that is indisputable. the whole point of my post was to get other freepers opinions on the fact that she had filed a multi-million dollar gender discrimination lawsuit. as a business owner, this does not sit well with me. i would feel the same way if i found out lt. col. allen west was suing a company for race discrimination. it would make me question his intentions and integrity. all of that said, i am apparently the only person in this thread that takes issue with the lawsuit. so be it.

It is going to come down to getting out the vote.

Christine now has $1 million AND seven weeks to get the truth out to the people in a very small state...tough work, but it can be done.
