Christine O'Donnell: 'I Dabbled in Witchcraft'
ABC news ^ | September 18 2010 | RYAN CREED

Posted on 09/18/2010 11:49:47 AM PDT by Michel12

Fresh off her victory in Delaware, GOP U.S. Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell is riding a wave of campaign cash but also internet infamy, thanks in part to her controversial statements -- most notably on masturbation -- in the late 1990s on Bill Maher's "Politically Incorrect." Christine O'Donnell says one of her first dates occurred on a satanic altar.

On Friday, Maher released on his new HBO show, "Real Time," an unaired clip of O'Donnell admitting to a brief dalliance with witchcraft.

ABC News dablled with being a real news station for a while, too, before becoming a left wing propaganda outlet.

What’s the big deal? Wicca is a religion no different than Christianity, Buddism, or Islam.

Don’t we have freedom of religion? Or is it standard practice for Christians to shun anyone that doesn’t believe in Christ? I guess you people are no different than the Muslims. Everyone who doesnt believe in Jesus are evil.

No, what has Chris O'Donnell done with her life OTHER than work as an "activist" and sue think tanks for "sexual harassment." Whatever ideological agreement there may be, she cannot be taken seriously as a candidate. I am NOT a Mike Castle fan, but couldn't Delaware "activists" done better than to nominate somebody who is a step above the homeless woman who screams at traffic?

I hope you love the taste of Flavor-Aid.

Don’t think she dabbled...but if she is a witch, hope she uses her broom to clean sweep Congress. And then bonks a few people on the head with it.

"I don’t know almost anyone who dabbled in witchcraft or stanism"

Shocking. /s

You must be a liberal then. Clearly, all conservatives dabble in the witchcraft at some point in their lives, right? I mean, that is what these people are saying, isn't it?

She just answered the question honestly - lots of girls play this stuff.

Shoot - look at your TV - disney has a “Wizards of Waverly Place” - we have Harry Potter - etc. Didn’t ABC itself have a witch show?

I’ve been to a NASCAR race - what does that make me?

What helped Clinton outta a lot of scandals was how quickly they refuted the accusations. We have a nasty habit of hiding under the bed when the rough gets going!!! She has enough money to put an ad out and START telling the folk what her plans are for the state there!! O'D...GET MOVING!!! Those ads should be airing on Monday as soon as possible. We need to nib this in the butt!!

I think you should run for office on that platform. Let me know how that works out for ya'.

I told jveritas when I was trying to convince him to change his mind, that I originally supported Duncan Hunter.

I saw DH as the single, best hope to turn our nation around.

Unfortunately the very same GOP establishment we see now, would have nothing of his candidacy. Too vested in sending American jobs to the Chicoms. Too vested in illegal immigration. And Duncan Hunter just didn’t have enough charisma to overcome their cold shoulder.

Then along came Sarah Palin.

Equally conservative by some considerations. But she has that power of personal persuasion. That magnetic draw which inspires people. That’s why Palin and those like her are so important. Because they represent WINNING.

Winning not by compromising with liberals. Winning by appealing to voters with conservative ideas presented in such a way people adopt them as their own.

Reagan had that ability.

Duncan Hunter is spot on, but Sarah Palin can win. And doing so, she presents a platform for people like Duncan Hunter. Who I hope she would bring on board as SecDef, or perhaps Trade Representative.

jv for some reason may have some sort of problem with Palin. I probably shouldn’t have admitted to being an enthusiastic Palinisto from even before the convention. In fact that was when he stopped answering me.

I strongly disagree that increasing support for Palin and the Tea Party indicates any sort of loss of conservative ideas on FR. Exactly the opposite IMHO. Libertarianism is becoming more mainstream here, which I see as a good thing (just to be forthcoming)

But Palin is doing a lot to advance the conservative agenda. As can O’Donnell - simply by being out there, standing tall and fighting back. And everyone else out there winning elections right now for our side - who is not part of the sell-out RINO centrist blob is helping our side.

I don’t think FR is becoming less conservative.

I think FR is becoming more grassroots. More Tea Party.

And a lot more close to clobbering the left at the ballot box.

This will backfire on the already discredited lame stream media. People saw the relentless personal attacks on Palin and were turned off by it, especially when her kids were the targets.

People will see through this and say, “Is that what you chose to tell me about her? Really? Something she “dabbled” in over ten years ago and has since repudiated? Nothing about her stand on the issues?”

I hope her family and friends have thick skin because the vultures will be coming for them next.

Well, there are some things in American politics that money can’t make up for.

She would have been better off seducing a 13 year old boy, fer cryin out loud!

Besides, with the emphasis on money, you almost make it sound like we are back to the time of Pope Leo and her buying indulgences or something.

It don’t work that way. She will, from now forward, NEVER have a presser where half the questions or more are not about witchcraft. Bet on it.

The Wave that Steamrolled Castle will Steamroll The Democrats, with or without a win in Deleaware.

BUCK UP!

I didnt say if it would work or not.

All Im saying is if your whole vote depends on someone’s religion they practiced in their youth, you are a damn fool.

How many Christians did Americans elect that turned out to be corrupt or even pedophiles? I dont think a person’s religion is a very good indicator of their character or how well they will serve the office they were elected to.

Voters in Delaware :
This all really simple you can either vote for Christine O’Donnell and her promises to vote conservatively or you can vote for Coons the self-proclaimed Marxist who will vote with Obama. Take a chance, if she sucks, vote her out next time or live with Coons the Marxist.

Exactly!I think after the movie the Exorcist in the early 70’s that opened a lt of curosity in the kids.Nt that Hollywood would ever do something to introduce evil to the kids.....I remember a lot of book on witchcraft and Ouija boards being everywhere back then.I don’t know how old she is but I am approaching 50 now.

This is only going to motivate O'Donnell's base by a factor of ten.

Religious people who are sincere all know that turning away from past misdeeds is what it's all about.

St. Peter denies knowing our Lord, repents, is made the first Pope and holds the keys to the Kingdom of Heaven.

St. Paul starts out as a persecutor of Christians, and becomes The Apostle.

O'Donnell does weird occultic things briefly as a kid. Big whoop. Now she is a true professing believer, taking her lumps for it too, by the way.

I want to thank Powerline and Maher for bringing out these positive aspects of O'Donnell's character for people to appreciate: Humility, repentance, reform. All things she is going to use productively as a Senator.

You guys who think she is toast, you are clueless.
