I have never understood Rove’s reputation for being some sort of political genius. I have never been a fan of his and his BS of late only reinforces my dislike for him.

He won 2 Presidential elections didn't he? He also won the 2002 midterms for us - midterms that we should have historically lost. President Bush calls Rove the architect of those victories. How many elections have you run and won? Who do you consider more of a "genius" at running campaigns than Rove?

Rove is a political strategist. He most definitely supports Republicans, but he is a realists. There are too many people here that have their eyes closed, squeezed shut, and then duct taped over for good measure.

Christine O'Donnell is just so unlikely to win in a state like Delaware, that Rove thinks it would have been far better to nominate the RINO. I agree with him. I'd rather have even the most loathesome RINO win that seat than a Democrat - especially when we had a shot of taking the Senate.

Nominating O'Donnell just means we will not win this seat. That is more or less all Rove was saying, and now he is just pointing out the reasons why. There may be years where it is worth nominating virtually anyone over a RINO. With the Senate in the balance, this wasn't one of them.

No he does not. He is a backstabber
in the employ of Castle, Romney and the other backstabbers.

You may be right, it may turn out that way. However, IIRC, Christine won the primary handily and in his criticism, Rove is crapping on the DE voters, and stamping his feet just like Olympic Snowe.

Newt Gingrich isn’t any different except he’s woken up to the power and scope of the Tea Party. In that respect he’s being more politically astute than Rove who seems to be in an on-going temper tantrum since the DE outcome.

That makes no sense. The primary is over, and O’Donnell is the nominee. Attacks on her, by Republicans, cannot undo the primary results, only indicate that the attacker doesn’t accept the verdict of the voters.

I’ve got no problem with a person’s supporting one primary candidate over another; that’s why we have primaries. But after that, you support your party’s choice or you’re supporting the opposition.

I don’t know if O’Donnell can win, but I know for sure that Castle won’t be on the November ballot, so get over him.

"I agree with him. I'd rather have even the most loathesome RINO win that seat than a Democrat - especially when we had a shot of taking the Senate."

So you don't care if you are being screwed. It just depends on who does it. Am I correct in this assumption?

and just HOW would it benefit us to put a Rhino - that votes with obummer - especially on cap and trade that would be the final coffin nail in our freedoms - be a plus?

He's a given. Put him back in and it's status quo - in favor of the rats.

At least, with O”Donnell running, there's a CHANCE. This is not a normal election. did you not read the turnout stats in DE????

She has a great chance if she isn't sabotaged by the entrenched establishment that see their hierarchy threatened, that see the very real possibility that WE TH PEOPLE will actually have some say.

If you're not part of the solution, then you're part of the problem.

Got it, Problem?

He lost the GOP majority in 2006.

Now, even with Castle, we still may not get a GOP majority in the Senate.

And even with Castle, a majority would do the Conservative cause no good since Castle was nothing but a liberal with a 'R' next to his name.

And O'Donnell can win in a GOP year, that has shown great voter turnout.

The Del. primary was expecting 30,000, it got almost twice that.

That shows the GOP is going to do very well in this election in Del.

I still don't have to like him, or respect him. The fact I can't do what he does has nothing to do with what I have to like or respect.

I do however respect your respect and appreciation for him. I just happen to differ. Like it or not when you have the White House and both houses of Congress the President takes the heat for the outcome. Rove or no Rove the Republican’s record for those years is a disaster. If Rove was so very instrumental in Bush's career I would have hoped he would have been able to persuade the man to stand up to Congress and not let them behave like Democrats. Rove didn't, Bush didn't and the outcome is history.

Sorry, I'll just have to disagree with you, but do so in as an agreeable a manner as possible.

Your points are well taken though. Sadly, getting to the Super Bowl isn't winning the Super Bowl. Rove got Bush to the Big Game, but after that much of it was downhill.

If everyone knows O'Donnell is going to lose then why is it necessary to go on national TV and speak so badly of her? Love ‘em or hate ‘em you've got to admit the Dems stick up for each other, like having a news conference on the White House lawn the day Clinton is impeached and everyone agreeing he's the greatest President ever.

What did Rove gain by badmouthing the person selected by the voters for the nomination? IMHO, he just showed is butt and no one is better off for it.

Thanks!
