McCain to give NRSC $1 million (Cornyn praises McCain)
CNN ^ | 2010-09-29

(CNN) - The National Republican Senatorial Committee blasted out an email to reporters Wednesday afternoon with the headline that Sen. John McCain has offered $1 million to the organization.

The promise comes as the party committee is looking to pick up at least 10 seats in order to take back a majority in the Senate. NRSC Chairman Sen. John Cornyn praised McCain, saying, "It's very encouraging to see Sen. McCain step up and do this. Republicans have historically not done this like Democrats have, and that has been a real competitive advantage that they have had."

(snip)

McCain's resources are sizeable. The Arizona senator has over $17 million left in his presidential campaign accounts and, as of the August 4 filing deadline, had $1.5 million in his Senate campaign coffers.

>> The Arizona senator has over $17 million left in his presidential campaign accounts

To not have used the entirety says he bailed before the POTUS race was over.

With the NRSC’s track record of supporting RINO’s and limp wrists, I’m not sure that we should be praising this contribution.

Are their contributions public information? I’d like to see where and what candidates they will be sending funds to.

McCain will be selling us out soon in Congress. No money can buy my soul. I guess your price is One Million. No praise will come from me.

That was from the “compliance fund” which could not be spent on regular campaign expenditures because he was capped...although ironically, a loophole existed to allow it be carried over into a future campaign for that reason. The king of campaign finance reform exploited a loophole.

The NRSC is totally anti Tea Party. This is the funding of Rinos for Rinos. It is only a good thing if we want the sickening progressive status quo in the Congress.

The primaries are over.

This is a welcome move by McCain. It could make the difference in a very close Senate picture.

McCain can be aggravating—indeed. However I, and I know many of the men and women who served in Iraq beginning in 2003, will never forget that McCain was one of those WHO MADE VICTORY POSSIBLE THERE when he strongly endorsed and fought to bring about the SURGE there of U. S. forces—in the face of vehement opposition from most Democrats including Obama.

So evaluate McCain as you will—but include that in your equation. A lot of the troops do.

Hate McCain or not hate McCain, this is a generous contribution

Are you blind? This is an "in the off chance that we retake the senate, I am Majority Leader, bitches" bribe.

Well, the good news is, McCain just pissed away $1 million that can’t otherwise be used against conservatives. The NRSC is about the least effective organization on the planet!

And all he can turn loose of is $1 million? Why is he holding onto it? Is he planning another run for the White House? CHEAP SKATE!!!

RE :”Rabs and EEE are still in a blood fued for Petunia’s hand

Maybe Rabs wants Meg's attention. You know like the school-boy picking on the girl he has a crush on :) I bet a trail of donuts would work better to lure her.

Ya know? Like it's the worst time of my life, and the best time too, ya know? You hate it and love, ya know? I try not to look back, except when I remember, ya know? I think we can get young people involved if only we can get rid of conservatives and the Tea party, and replace Republicans with moderates like Spector, my dad and Obama, ya know?"
