It is going to be a long two years, but a better two years.
Don’t tell the racist political slave masters they might panic upon hearing that their race based political slaves are in rebellion.
Careful the Democrats might call out the old slave patrols to crucify and/or terrify blacks that dare think and act out the contents of their hearts rather then what someone else tells em about the color of their skin.
You know, folks American Blacks have been changing little by little. A major reason for this is that a huge amount of American Blacks, mainly males are marrying, or living with women not of their race, White, Hispanic Asian, etc. That action alone has awakened many Blacks to the “real” world of assimilation, which is real the true way to freedom, education and opportunity. Actually, Obama, the NAACP and CBC are fastly becoming outdated and ineffective as they become more and more radical in trying to forge America and Blacks into “third world” nation status. We shall see what progress has made come November 2, 2010!!! If American Black voters have both smarts and common sense, they will throw Obama and his Democrat Party under the bus for failing them so badly across the board!!!
...”They wont vote against him. They will stay home. The ones who do go to the poll will be as reliably Democrat as always. There will be fewer who bother to vote is all”...
A crucial factor, also, is fear of violence against them from their own communities if it is learned that they did not vote the way the NAACP told them. They are under a kind of dictatorship with, perhaps, real threats to deal with. I felt so sorry for Alveda King, Martin Luther King Jr.’s niece as she appeared with Beck on 8-28. She spoke of threats against her for her decision to stand on her own principles. Just imagine if your Uncle and your Father have been murdered, but, yet you go out and continue the message under the same threats. She is now one of the women I really admire in our nation. God bless her! I hope she has sold a million books!
You are so right! The other cause for open-mindedness is education. Many black folks are achieving the American dream and they want the same choice for their children. Also, they and their families have assimilated into residential communities all over the nation, to become friends and neighbors with whites. Many personal and emotional loyalties develope when this happens. When people go out into the work place, with an education, to make a living and then, are fortunate enough to make enough money to pay exorbitant taxes, the scales fall off the eyes and the truth becomes clear. Every time I see another AA running for office as a conservative, I rejoice, for I perceive the price these people pay to stand on their own principles. It is far greater than you or I would have to pay in this (for them) politically oppressive environment.
Just leave material on the coffee table when they visit. They will read it.
Family is difficult.
More of the myth of the Black conservative - it DON’T exist!
In my heart of hearts, I pray that November will clearly demonstrate that significant movement to truly being free will be evident among American Black voters!!! POTUS Obama, the Democrat party, the NAACP, the CBC have done nothing for them, other then keeping them in continuing economic slavery, chained to the botttom of the economic, education and opportunity totem pole!!!
If the election of Barack Obama does one positive thing it would be to show millions of minorities who’ve waited their whole lives for the messiah to show up that the only person who will make a difference in their lives stares back at them when they look in the mirror.
How do they square this with their continued support of Obama who is the antithesis of everything the Tea Party stands for?
Yes, I know the letter you're referring to. Mrs. Rice wrote that letter right after Obama was elected, and really took blacks to task for falling into the mass hysteria of Obamamania.
Family is difficult.
Especially when they've been mainlining the lib/Dem Kool-Aid for half a century.
If you run across a copy of it...I’m really sorry I didn’t save it and wish I had.
If one person in the family changes how they react to the family dynamics others have no choice but to change....Try joking with them or wearing a “Free at Last” T shirt. ;~)
Thanks for the ping. Very interesting article and posts.
LOL! Now, that's funny - and very appropriate! I like it.
Truth is, I don't really have any sort of pull with my siblings anymore. Nearly all of us are in our 50s now, and are more or less hardened into our basic life philosophies.
Besides, they're out on the left coast, and I'm now in Texas. I might hear from one or two of them once a year, if that. I wish them the best and hope they find their own way off the plantation. Lord knows I've tried to help them, but I'm done having my face chewed off for my efforts.
So, who are Thomas Sowell and Justice Clarence Thomas? Liberal plants???
There are a good number of black conservatives who post regularly on this very site. I'm one.
We may not be a sizable portion of the black community, but I assure you, we do exist.
Blacks who support the Tea Party do NOT support Obama. They're pissed off about the very same things you are.
The two thirds of black Americans who DON'T support the Tea Party are the Obots.
So, you know my family! LOL
You're right on the mark, my friend, except for the fact that there are black people waking up every day of the week. It's still somewhat below the radar, but it is happening.
Unfortunately, it is also my family, although for different demographic reasons: in our case too much education. I think the percentages are about the same, 10-15% of people with postgraduate degrees are very conservative, the rest are barking moon-bats. My Dad (a retired social worker) and I are the only conservatives in a family of seven. So we're slightly beating the odds; but Thanksgiving and Christmas can be interesting some years.
... there are black people waking up every day of the week.
I don't doubt it. I just don't know if the numbers will really make a difference. In the election of 2000, National Review did a study from which they concluded that if Blacks had voted for George Bush in the same percentages they voted for Eisenhower (which was only 30%) John Kerry would not have carried a single state, including Massachusetts. That's really a very shocking fact if you think about it, and it can probably be said of any monolithic voting block as large as the Black Vote, so I'm not blaming Black People for the state of our current predicament. As I've already pointed out, we can just as easily point to the over-educated as culprits. I don't have much hope we can convert the people in my family, so I'll keep faith that you can convert yours.
All of the polls show very strong support among black voters for Obama, the number have changed only a few % points since the election. He has not lost 25-30 % of his base.
