Tony Curtis was one of my first loves. In retrospect he was a beautiful face, and a fair actor, but he and Janet Leigh brought lots of joy to my young life. Rest in peace, Tony.

When I was 10 years old - in 1965 - I watched The Great Race 10 times - he was a terrific actor - full of fun yet great in Spartacus too.

RIP

Found this on roaming around. Not even his official “supposedly” web site has the announcement yet.

The interview is interesting from the standpoint of 84 years
of Tony.

His roles in Spartacus and The Sweet Smell of Success were two of my favorites.

Tony Curtis was a great entertainer. Mrs. 40 and I rented ‘Sex And The S1ngle Girl” (sic) a few weeks ago. It was a pretty good movie from 1964 and he was great in it.

The Vikings with Curtis, Douglas, Borgnine, Leigh and that guy with the funky speech impediment and all without major violence and “adult” language!

Oh wow. His passing makes me feel really old because he was a big star from my early childhood recollections in Hong Kong in the early to mid 1960’s.

We’re losing more and more of that generation, passing right before our eyes.

Rest in Peace Tony, you’ve been promoted to ‘Singer of Songs’ in Our Father’s House.
