You know what Hugh would say; it takes many parameters for life to flourish.

I liken it to how just because there is water on the moon, that doesnt mean there is life.

btw, Aren’t Mars and Venus in that habitable zone too??

Still, it is an exciting discovery.

"No sex? I’m leaving."

I hear it's a pretty long trip. Maybe you should pack a lunch.

I liked it in the beginning but then it just got hard to follow. However I did learn the proper usage of the word “Fluffer”.

I would say, my own personal feeling is that the chances of life on this planet are 100 percent," said Steven Vogt, a professor of astronomy and astrophysics at the University of California, Santa Cruz, during a press briefing today.

How about we send Professor Vogt on a 1-way mission to his favorite FLARE STAR, and see how he likes the space weather when he is BLASTED by megajoules of particle energy. I'd donate a radiation badge for him, but he won't need it for long.

These guys must be fundraising. They only get this nonsensical near the end of the fiscal year.

Seriously, 100% probability of life on a planet tidally locked to a flare star? I have some lottery tickets to sell this fool.

Hardly

Guaranteed. Not only is life abundant in the universe, but it has already travelled to Earth from other planets.
