You're thinking of WD-40.
;-)
Thanks for the article, but I only ask Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi healthcare advice. /sarc
and Duct tape. lol.
Although my mom too was quick to whip out the soap and place it in my mouth. I can swear up a storm as an adult if I want. I attribute this to the insane over reaction of mommy dearest to add to this very unladylike behavior. Her negative reward let me know swearing gets attention even if it is negative. I like though that my mom was more of a holistic healer type (but happily she loaded us up with codiene cough syrup when we were sick.) :-D.
I would sneak downstairs and drink that stuff straight up in the middle of the night when I wasn't sick and then go back to bed. To think I was only seven years old and had a codeine/sugar addiction along with the best of 'em. lol Those were the good ole' days.
I use Vicks vapo-run on my genitals! In all the years I’ve done that I’ve never been attacked by a bear or lion, or liger!
Hehehehe....
I can still get codeine cough syrup over the counter here in Japan, but I am too old for such foolishness now.
These days, the Japanese kids just buy the pills and soak them in water for a while. The codeine is water soluble, so they carefully use a tea strainer to remove whatever doesn’t dissolve and drink the water.
If you’re walking through a park and see several empty bottles of cold tablets in a trash bin you can pretty much be sure that some kids are having a party somewhere nearby.
THANKS THANKS.
Walgreens has a sinus wash kit . . . either a neti pot or a squeeze bottle and the premeasured salt etc. packets.
A couple of drops of the proper kind of iodine each time . . . helps tons prevent sinus infections and other such problems. Has made a big difference, to me.
Hell Ace, use a strong horse liniment, even if they attacked you, they would never catch you....Probably a Corvette couldn't catch you ;^)
How about a cap full of Hydrogen Peroxide? Do it every morning along with Zycam. Rush is Right, Zycam is awesome.
Looking at our posts I say there is an argument to be made that possibly lots of salt water gargling in one’s youth makes for outstanding comedic ability as adults (or at least a fun sense of humor :-). Thanks Mom.
I like the bottle that sprays under a little pressure better than the neti. I swear by it. Also, I have had fantastic results with Airborne. I take them if I am around any group of people in winter.(I do use the cheaper generic). I used to have regular infections until I used it at the first sign of an infection or cold. It really, really works for me. Night and Day.
Those two items are always in my closet. If I do get sick, I add mucinex.
Your screen name somehow makes the advice given to ole’ Paddy there somehow even more well . . . ouch! Great selection.
Oh, I could tell you some stories...
But they’d get me thrown off this board in a heartbeat.
Hehehe... If you ever get to Tokyo, though...
Cajun just trying to give helpful suggestions where he can.
Well I use to live in Minnesota, and I was always afraid of bear attacks, so I would slap a little Vicks on and not once was I bothered!
Late to the party. But yes- Mom would give me salt water for my sore throat. It still will help to calm it down. (Carry some emergency packets from McDonalds in the truck to control the coughing fits).
Funny about getting smacked by mom if you got snake-bit or other-wise hurt.
I put my hand through a window at school (6th grade?) trying to close it. Blood soaking through the bandage the nurse put on the cut on my wrist. My mom comes to pick me up to take me to the doctor. A plastic bag now around my hand and bandage so I don’t mess things up.
As soon as we get in the car she gives me a couple of whacks on the shoulder and yelling at me for cutting myself!
Thanks thanks.
I didn’t find Airborne that helpful but I sure like the squeeze bottle and Mucinex seems to be somewhat helpful.
There was even a class action suit and a refund because of Airborne’s purported ineffectiveness in controlled studies.
I still have a few packages of it around, however.
This same group is on the verge of announcing the news that aspirin can ease headaches.
