The Louisville Courier-Journal reports that a female MoveOn.org supporter was attacked by backers of Kentucky GOP Senate candidate Rand Paul on Monday when she attempted to approach Paul outside his final debate with Democrat Jack Conway in Lexington.
At one point, violence broke out when Lauren Valle of MoveOn.org approached Paul and tried to give him an "employee of the month award" from Republicorp. Republicorp is a fake business MoveOn created to symbolize what it says is the merger of the GOP and business interests controlling political speech. Television video shows Valle, of Washington, D.C., being pushed to the ground and at least one foot stepping down on her head.

This kind of physical assault is wrong, but it IS a moveon.org person. I will enjoy the moment, but I will feel guilty (I’m trying to see what it feels like to be a “moderate”, lol)

Does this “activist” understand the meaning of the word “assault”? She is lucky she isn’t in jail (prob where she belongs, anyway).

It doesn't matter one bit if the woman was from move-on. This was wrong.

The larger point here is one of political violence. Anyone who applauds it in this case loses any moral standing when the tables are turned.

She was in disguise and attempted to approach Rand Paul. How would they know her intent? They should have stripped her down to make sure she didn’t have a bomb or gun on her.

Having said that, there have been no arrests as of yet. Makes one wonder if they should be referred to as "Rand Paul supporters" rather than Rand Paul supporters, if you take my meaning.
