With a huge voter backlash to Democrat Jack Conways ad criticizing his opponents college antics and questioning his religious faith, Republican Rand Paul has now taken a 12-point lead in Kentuckys bitter U.S. Senate race.
The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in the state, taken Wednesday night, shows Paul with 53% support to Conways 41%. Two percent (2%) prefer some other candidate in the race, and four percent (4%) are undecided. (To see survey question wording, click here.)
After narrowing somewhat last week, the race moves back to where its been for most of the year. As a result, its moving back from Leans Republican to Solid Republican in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Senate Balance of Power rankings. In 12 surveys prior to last week, Paul had led by seven to 15 points each time, earning 46% to 59% of the vote. Conway, Kentuckys current attorney general, picked up 34% to 42% support in those same surveys.
The candidates held their final debate on Monday night, and Democrats are now trying to capitalize on a violent incident outside the debate involving a Paul supporter and an liberal activist. Former President Clinton is scheduled to come to the state on Monday to campaign for Conway.

The whole thing is so ironic because you can not be a Christian and be pro choice/pro abortion, and this is what Conway is.
This is fact not opinion, a careful study of the Holy Scriptures, leaves no doubt.
And SUSA has Rand at +9! Power to the Aqua Buddha... Conway - Jerk!
The "Aqua Buddha" stunt is perhaps the most hilarious election blunder I've heard in years and years...
ROTFLMAO!
Rand Paul(Senate)/Andy Barr(House) ads are now running in KY.
Hopefully, the association with Paul will help Barr defeat the incumbent Ben Chandler (D). Chandler has been running vicious attack ads similar to Conway’s against Paul.
The Chandler name has been revered in KY for decades. . .ever since Happy Chandler. Can still remember hearing “Happy Days Are Here Again” when I was a child growing up in KY where EVERYONE voted Democrat. . . even if you were dead.
I am sure McConnell is about to puke. I will miss Bunning...
I said at the beginning of that WHOLE pinko thing tha tit was likely a set up—designed to drain support for paul. On Tuesday night...it looked like the story WAS going to “grow legs’ and become a scandal. I went to bed, feeling that by the next day—EVERY news agenecy would be leading with that story-and spend at least 30 minutes on it , every hour or so. Even thgough evidence WAS leaking out that she had tried to assault the senator before that time that night—and get into his car—and it looks like she went to the ground on her OWN—I figured they would spin it out of control.
Then...on Wednesday...it all just seemed to “fade away” I have heard little about it since. I guess the truth DID get out on this one—and the left decided “well...we can’t use this one after all...and “killed the story”...which they seemed to hope could even become the “Reichstag fire” they have son lng waited for.
PRAISE...THE...LORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
...for those interested. :D
VOTE TUESDAY, TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN.
LOL!
Gotta love that 'rat outreach...get out the voter effort.
Hopes so...
Chandler, Is one of Nazi Pelosi's Pink Poodles
“There’s something about/ an Aqua Buddha man”....
...to the (total) shock of the Washington Ruling Class.
...are ya listening, Mitch? ...you make actually have to work now (& govern.)
Ya think? Can't you just hear that rumbling from the Heavenly Throne? Alright Kentucky, Git 'er done!
Aqua Boo-Boo.
Right, I'm sure he's sickened by this news, as evidenced by the fact he has been working his behind off helping Paul win this election from the moment he won the nomination.
I agree with you wholeheartedly about McConnell. It looks like it’s going to be a good day for Constitutionalists; not so much for leftists and neo-cons.
