Conservatives to step up presence at polls across U.S. to prevent vote fraud

On Election Day, voters standing in line to cast their ballots in Harris County, Tex., will be treated to a cool drink courtesy of a group called "the lemonade brigade." But the group has another motive: curbing voter fraud.

It is one of several Republican and tea-party-affiliated groups across the country that are taking their citizen activism to the polls this year to stop what they think will be rampant abuse of the nation's error-prone election system. In Minnesota, for example, conservative groups are running radio ads and offering $500 rewards to those who turn in anyone successfully prosecuted for voter fraud.

Fears and accusations of election misconduct are nothing new, and stringent laws have been on the books for decades that restrict how close observers can get to voters, or how many of them can be there at all.

In Texas each entity involved in an election can send two poll watchers per precinct. I'm representing my county's Republican party. Of course every single candidate on the ballot could send two poll watchers too. We have quite a number of poll watchers this year as lots of Tea Partiers have become active in Republican politics.

What really could be interesting is realigning voting precincts next year based on the 2010 census. From the end of Reconstruction till January 2009 DemocRATS had complete control of the line drawing in my county. DemocRATS made the best Republican precincts up to ten times larger than the best DemocRAT precincts. The Republican majority on the commissioners' court could combine several of the small DemocRAT precincts and divide up the overly large Republican precincts. This would allow Republicans to monitor DemocRAT precincts with fewer people, and get polling places out of DemocRAT activists' garages.

The partisanship surrounding the issue caps an election season that has gnawed at racial divides

Only race baiting is coming from Obama and the Left this election.

People have rarely been prosecuted? If true, doesn't mean it has to remain that way. The Left has been starting to flare up over this. Taking away their ability to steal elections can't be tolerated. What I like about the Tea Parties is that every critisism about the people involved is met by stories like these that show they've thought ahead and anticipated usual leftist tactics. Organizing to prevent vote fraud, developing methods to teach and instruct the public about the constitution. They aren't entirely naive. Some are new, but they learn fast.

Please, those of you who Twitter or are on Facebook, spread this around!

Reporting Voter Fraud

The Republican Party has set up a National Hotline, which will be staffed with Attorneys to handle polling issues as well as possible voter fraud or intimidation.
1 - 888 - 775 - 8117. IF you even SUSPECT this is happening, PLEASE call for their free advice.

In 2004, I had organized teams of volunteers to video fraud in Philadelphia. Teams, not individuals, so there could be videodocumenting of violence against the videographers.

The GOP lawyers had zero interest.

One interesting aspect of this year’s election is that many precincts will officially be considered R instead of D.

If Rick Perry gets more votes in a precinct than White, the precinct will officially become an R and the Republicans can pick the Presiding Election Judge.

When the Judge is an R, fraud becomes much more difficult.

Pray that Perry stomps White.

I'm well aware of that. The fact that Texas enacted legislation allowing each political party to have an election judge, not just poll watchers, at each precinct has already had an impact on fraud. Part of the strategy for our poll watchers is to give reinforcement to the Republican alternate judges in DemocRAT precincts.

Write the number on your hand to have it “handy”...1 - 888 - 775 - 8117.
