Kalifornia lost cause
None | None

Posted on 11/03/2010 6:13:01 AM PDT by kgrif_Salinas

While the country made a sharp turn to the right, giving the GOP the House in a landslide, CA has moved MORE to the LEFT, if thats possible. Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown as the next Gov, with a Dem Assembly, AND Prop 25 passed, which only requires a simple majority to pass a budget. CA is doomed, and will soon fall into the Pacific. I predict CA bankruptcy before 2012. Truly a land of fruits and nuts.

I think it’s pretty clear that California needs to go bankrupt and start returning to being a desert (thanks to environmental regulations) before it will turn around, but that will also mean a lot of people fleeing California for other states so beware of that scenario.

All we have to do is say no. And maybe the fact they’re Dems will make it easier.

I’m in CA. I’ve voted here now for 50 years. After yesterday’s results, I’m feeling that if you’re a conservative, why bother to vote in this state, If somebody starts a movement to migrate all of us red-staters together, I think I’ll sign up. As a matter of fact, maybe it is time to divide the US into 2 countries.

CA and MA stand out as states which insist on clinging to an out-dated socialist ideology.

The really sad part is Kalifornia is undoubtedly going to expect the responsible citizens of the rest of the country to save them from themselves. Elections have consequences and Kalifornia should be forced to pay their own bills! Bankruptcy is a cleansing process for the mismanagement of capital and there isn't a state in the union that needs cleansing more than Kalifornia.......

You can also add NY to that list.

WOULD YOUR GIVE A UNRPENTENT DRUG ADDIT DRUGS?
WOULD YOU GIVE A UNREPENTENT ALCOOLIC BOOZE?
WOULD YOU GIVE A CROOKED BANKER YOUR MONEY TO GUARD?

"I agree, but I also worry this might be one of the first tests our new majority fails."

If they fail this test, they will be voting themselves back out in 2012. The GOP had better pay attention or there will be a new third party that cannibalizes the corpse of the Old Party.

Let’s just give California back to Mexico and let them deal with it.

I have bad news for you. The socialist disease runs much deeper than that. You can add (at least) VT, CT, NY, MD, DE, WV, CO, NV, WA, and OR to the list.

Absolutely...Ina sense, I’m glad that Meg didn’t win..she’d have had to fight the Dems in the legislature tooth and nail...thee will be no fed bailout of California..so bankruptcy may well be the only way out..and they can then wipe out those public pensions..

I have come to have such a dislike for the leftists that I am actually glad about California’s turn left. We get to watch them suffer more. Problem is when they move out of state they bring their leftist ideology with them, polluting otherwise good states. Maybe the democrat government will build a wall around California (except along Mexico of course) to keep the people and employers from leaving...

You know — those of us who live in California and who fought tooth and nail for conservatives here and across the country would appreciate not being slandered. It’s a sad day here in Mudville. We celebrate the House tsunami, however.

“Do Not come to Texas...”

I’ll gladly second that thought. Californicate takes a step backward and re-elects the moonbeam; but, here in Texas, we are able to defeat the likes of Chet Edwards, Bill White, etal-it’s not a bad morning after.

Demography is destiny. CA is on its way to becoming a third world country.
