Voters in Arizona and Oklahoma amended their state constitutions Tuesday with "healthcare freedom" measures designed to block the new federal mandate on individuals and some employers to buy health insurance. Voters in Colorado went the other way, defeating a similar initiative. The measures purport to give state residents the right not to participate in any healthcare system without penalty and to have access to any legal medical services they can afford.

Just interesting to see how entrenched Hollywood is in the elections.
The place is filling up with Californians. They vote the same way they did in the state they fled from. Works the same way in North Carolina, except the carpetbaggers are from high tax states like New Jersdey, New York and Massachusettts, . They figure to get the same public services for lower taxes, and don’t mind voting for higher taxes, just so they are less than those in the Northeast. Ditto, New Hampshire sand Maine. This is mainly the liberal” gentry”that Michael Barone is talking about.
The situation you described will continue to compount itself. We’re in CA, trying hard to get out. We won’t be choosing another blue state, which CO now is, that’s for sure. We want to get as far away from those people as we can. If that’s an example, then conservative Californians will not be coming to CO, thus not providing a counter-balance to the lefties moving there from here.

I was delighted to see that Ron Johnson won the Senate seat and great conservative American. Congratulations!
I was still living in California in 2008 and it broke my heart to see Indiana go blue presidentially - but when I looked at the map - it was all red except for Gary (so. of Chicago) and a little part west of Indianapolis.
Sometimes you just can’t fix stupid.
Anyway, it was much better this year - with some blue outposts remaining.
One of the many reasons I moved back to Indiana was CA’s liberal and godless policies (and politicians).
Wow, the voters of Colorado voted not to give themselves a right they already possessed. I'm stunned.

That is a good beginning, let us hope that the voters in Colorado will come to their senses.
Now that Kansas has dumped it’s demoncrap Atty General, we should soon be joining the fight.
CO, like NV, are being invaded by liberals running from Cal. Problem is, they bring the same mind of things with them there and then start trashing the place they moved too get away from with the same ideas that they ran away from the other states too begin with. NC, SC, and FL are in the same boat. GA, mainly around Atlanta and southwest bottom side of GA, are dim voters. Really stunning because Columbus is a military town full of military retirees, yet they seem to vote dim heavy down there. Strange.

Mind you, I’m not saying that such would be an undesirable course of action.
But when an entire group of states “unilaterally declares” such “independence” from federal control, we have seen what comes next (as in 1776).

The educational propaganda push within the public schools
has given the lefties an edge in these areas.
We’ve got to reverse or at least slow down this agenda.

Obamacare is only one example of the expansion of the federal government beyond its constitutional bounds. While amending the state constitutions in this one instance is worthy, the fundamental political need is to restore the original allocation of power between the state and federal governments in the US Constitution. We can accomplish this by promoting amendments to the US Constitution to restore its original meaning and structure.
The first step is to put through an amendment to the amendment process itself which will eliminate the unnecessary convention now required by Article V and permit States to directly initiate amendment proposals. This will end the current de facto federal congressional and judicial monopoly on interpreting the Constitution, and empower grassroots patriots on the state level to restore the Constitution by amendment. Transcription in a hospital as always been a department that is sent to 3rd party and then brought back in house. I did biomedical work in the medical field for 12+ years and know what you are saying.
Nuance offered us jobs at HALF the money we were making, double the insurance premiums, and 5 whole days of vacation. They also told us all dictation in India would be done in their secure high-tech offices. Well, they lied. They employ Indian MTs who work in their homes, and surprise, surprise, they don't have HIPAA laws in India. I wonder how long it will be before the first information breach occurs.

The Constitution doesn’t need to be amended to be followed AS IT’S ALREADY WRITTEN. What then... the powers that be in Washington DC simply ignore the new amendments like the whole rest of the Constitution is already ignored now?
no kidding! i lost my job the day after the bill was signed! took me 9 months to find a job! seriously?
the job loss in healthcare specifically since this bill was signed really needs to be addressed and exposed by someone. im amazed that no one has picked up on the fact that hospitals are cutting all the staff they can becuz this is a double edged sword for them. not only is their cost to insure thier workers going up but their reimbursement for patients is going to drop dramatically.
everyone thinks the job market will explode to handle the increase in patient coverage but they dont realize reimbursement will go way down, the only way hospitals can compensate will be cutting employees and cutting wages... this is a nightmare!
